on the marion game yesterday it was just absolute thuggery. the game consisted of cheap shots all day and a number of players not even going for the ball. i expect this from teams like morph parks but didnt from marion it was well and truly appalling and heard it come from many people who watched the game also. an absolute disgrace and an even sweeter win

Didnt get to the game asert, but a very good win by the boys...should help the confidence no end.

Tell me you didnt really expect no "physical" stuff from Dads army? Was always gonna happen if our young fellas got in front.

If the umpire had of seen the first incident then atleast one marion player would have been red carded as well. Flaggy players were stickin up for there mates and didnt start the fight.

One Cove supporter was standing were the teams go through at the fence at half time mouthing off at the Reynella players. One of the Reynella players told him to shut up and the supporter had a go. Other Cove supporters jumped in to hold the Cove supporter back and a Reynella supporter jumped in and told him to shut his mouth and back off. Not a lot in it really.
I was speaking to a Brighton player yesterday who said that Christies were very much a dirty team too, once they were down by a fair margin in the last quarter started a bit of thuggery. Any Brighton supporters confirm this? I know Salisbury West a few years back had the same issues even once being held back a division and stripped of points the following season after a disgusting Grand final performance. I had heard that Flash was trying to stamp that out of the Salisbury team, yet it seems that CB are the same. Maybe it's the coaches influence???

Terms And Conditions wrote:Headed out to the Reynella game and was very disappointed. Altough it was hard with Milo, Bradshaw and Corstens in ice early they were hardly in the match. Maybe just a bad day and will have to watch again soon to see if they are the real deal this yr. Farrier was good but from where i was sitting all I could do was hear him. He rated himself so much seemed to think he was the greatest player every! just an observation.

And Sorry but Panter32 are Reynella paying you?? I do honestly hope not.

Good to see that the Reynella haters are back, I guess it took a little longer than normal this year.

Cyclops,M/Vale way to good for us. On Peachy and agree he was playing well on Pollard,we lost our ruck man so Peachy had a crack. Our best player and by a mile was booga no24 as always Mr consistant.
On Hills he played well but the side needs to stand up when challenged by good sides and not let them kick 6-10 goals without a reply. (Porties 3rd quarter/M/Vale 4th quarter) I thought we had a crack for 3 quarters 5 -5 to 9-10 at 3 quarter time? but to let M/Vale kick 13 in the last is not good enough.

i wouldnt even throw m/ville park in there. on sat they were all about the ball and quick movement forward to there team of 7ft tall players. they have made a huge jump since last year and done some good things over the pre season. marion were a bit late with some of the hits 2 weeks ago and we fell to the level in a couple of spots but there is no need for it especially if you are up by 15 goals already.

Toughen up boys your lucky you didnt play in the 80s.
I wouldnt call the odd cheap shot thuggery.
I'm not saying that violence in footy is a good thing but you need to expect a bit of physical attention.

Spoke to someone sat nt about the crowd incident at reynella who was only metres away. Said a supporter from cove was ripping into milo as they walked off and was getting a little to close. An ex reynella player didnt take to kindly to the treatment milo was getting and told the guy to bugger off. (probably using a couple of different words). Ended in a scuffle with the original instigator being hit with a glass i was told.

Is it just me or does trouble seem to follow cove wherever they go?

Yes it was number 11 and the guy with the tatts but he was number 16 on the weekend. Also the guy they call belly . I think you will find also that the reason one of our players got reported because 15 of your payers ran in for a brawl to about 5 of us trying to defend ourselves including wade who seriously how old are you running from the opposite end of the ground to fight grow up. But anyway while marion had almost everyone fighting we kicked a goal and has anyone seen the scores your thuggery cost you the game. Yeah matte great win for the guys no matter what was thrown at them they stood up took it and took the game away. From the backline i'd love to know how many times kers ran it out and ever time butch was within a hundred metres of the ball he created something out of nothing.

Cyclops you are right, M/V was way to good for the Shoe's.
The 2 Bayley's boy were to strong and well drilled. As for a long season for the shoe's,
got brighton this week and that will be tough. it will be a good test for the boy's to see if they can bounce back after the last couple weeks of average football.

Mate i'm all about a physical game but it was a disgrace. The amount of times someone went for a mark and copped a deliberate punch to the face not even going for the ball or a shepherd with an elbow to the face. Tough games are great but you gotta play within the rules and at least pretend to go for the ball
