Funny you say that "THE BRAD"... i saw are large group of Aldinga players including some in the leadership group at the seaford tavern friday night. i had a chat to a couple of the lads and they said they always go out and get on the gass friday nights!!

i dont think BRAD would accept this and has tried to banish this culture from the club.

Looks like Hackam have improved or are Lonsdale on the slide? It would seem that christies bubble has burst.

i would like to say we are on the improve. would have been much closer if we didnt give them a 7-0 first quarter lead.

Interesting seeing about 10 Morphie kids with their shirts off being driven around the ground at the end in the back of a truck ute singing the club song  nice safe practice there!

Yep .... very safe !!! Good to see the kids encouraged to get involved and shown the value of safety ... ohhhhh .... and you forgot to mention how many, many, many, many cans the driver of the ute had consumed :)

Was a great win by the roos on the weekend, if we kicked straight it would have been even better. Has been a long time since we won up at flaggies and we did enjoy telling there supporters about it, even though they didn't have many there. We didn't hear any chants for us to go back to div 2 or get out of the league altogether like last time we played them. I thought the boys in the back of the ute singing the club song was a nice touch and to say the driver had been drinking is crap. The lady driving the ute had her son and his friends in the back and she hadn't had a drink all day. If she was going any slower she would have been going backwards. Also could you let us know what your president said after the game, saw him go out onto the oval and point the finger at the players and he didn't look very happy.

just like to say well done to morph parks wasnt one cheap shot all day maybe the club is trying to head in a bit better direction, shame the b grade i couldnt say the same especially when the one guy who was giving them all day got one back had tears on the field. cant say much about the supporters tho if you dont want to be labelled feral dont act like it, supporters coming past the players in between qtrs swearing at us etc. if you keep it up the sfl will make you play at league grounds to curb your supporters binge drinking it had a feel of old school porties grand final. on a bright note were some pretty impressive mullets out on display.
a grade played really well and shut us down. not one player played well for us on sat and every player was embarrassed to get in best players at the club sat night. well done roos played well

GO THE PUNT wrote:look good in leather you have no idea. If you had the criteria you have proposed how do you think the div 2 clubs will build junior sides when the kids will all move onto the div 1 teams to play. 1 is the first in kids eyes and that is what they want to be. Im with you dth 2 divs is never going to work for the sfl comp. Maybe for the juniors they might have to look at having 2 gades in the junior set up that is u18 and u15. This would the older u18 that are bigger and stronger to push up to senior level and still leave plenty of numbers for an u18 side. The clubs that have good junior numbers then can fill 2 teams on a sat and will fill in the bye games or may allow for 5 games on a saturday on some weekends. Another way that could be put in place is that you dont field a full juniors progamme and your playing a club that does you then forfiet the right of a home game this would shake the clubs into action so much revenue to lose from no home game.Just a few thoughts.
Also look good in leather my understanding with the townies joining the comp was done 12 months ago and the sfl put concessions in place to let them work on the process of bring the juniors over in 2-3 years. I think people need to get over the fact that townies are in the comp without juniors and move on they are here ok deal with it.

The original agreement was that Edwardstown would join with U/18 and then U/16 & U/14 in the next 2 years. This then became U/18 with the "aim" of establishing U/16 & U/14 at some stage. Eventually they joined and a month out from the seson they pulled their U/18 team. I do not understand how we are going to strengthen our comp by adding teams who are not even strong enough to control their junior teams. If it is true that they have separated their juniors from the club and these juniors are no longer part of the club, the people who voted for that need to be lined up and shot because they have probably signed a death warrant for their club - and we are the idiots who have accepted a senior only club, pats on the back for all.

assert, if you are going to give it to other teams when your winning you need to expect to get a bit back when you get done. The crap we got when we lost last year up at bushpig land we put into the memory bank and of course we where going to give it back to you when we won. I was standing near the race and didn't see any of our supporters go near your players all day, may have called out a bit from the sidelines but what clubs don't have fans that get stuck into the opposition. Also having a few beers at the footy is not called binge drinking. What happened to all of your supporters, wasn't to many there on saturday?

Can anyone confirm the rumor that Marion are no longer able to fill a B grade side and will now be forfeiting all B grade matches from here on in.

Where did you get that crap from GH. Definately not - they had to ring around on the weekend due to alot of injuries and people with other committments. NO FORFEITS will be done - put that one to bed straight away. Cheers for your interest though - keen to get a boot in r we. Well done to Luke Berry as well played a corker in his 200th a grade game - congrats. Porties a good win, kept their heads when the rams lost theirs - too good on the day. Bloody wind was enormous! Edwardstown margin a bit of a suprise though!

Not trying to put the boots in. My mail is from a current Marion A/B grade player who told me this on the weekend. He seemed pretty sure of the fact so will be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks.

I was near them in the last 1/4 and there was some colourful sledging going on, but I have heard worse, none of it was real funny to be honest.....at the end of the day they arent good enough to be on the field so should be water off the ducks back...

Funniest bit was a couple of them with utes attempting burnouts as they drove off and failed miserably

Could be a difficult challenge for the rams considering they don't have under 18's either. Would be a said state of affairs if they had to fill it with under 14's.

Obviously not too many of the SFL players take this Metropolitan Challenge Cup very seriously, only 17 players out of probably a squad of 30-40 turned up on Sunday. I think the league officials are a bit worried they may not be able to get a team together by June long weekend!
