i honestly cant see Stosur losing this open. its hers for the taking if she is going to win one. an under done sharapova still in, serena williams, but on her side there has been some really big upsets.
and if she were to make the final her likely opponent would be dinara safina, who is down 1 set at the moment but up the break in the second against a girl that is not going to cause too much trouble for stosur. even though its azarenka (9th seed), a couple long matches in a row could prove vital to stosur's chance.

could we sammy go the whole way??

safina was actually up a double break, azarenka broken both back andnow serving to go 5 - 4 up in the 5th..

Safina most overrated womens player? number 1, smashed in the aus open final. never won a GS.

clearly underdone sharapova saved 4 match points and lost the match 6-0 6-2.

after playing all previous matches over 3 sets and coming back from that long lay off with her shoulder, it was a pretty successful open for her.
