Just looked at the side on Pulse wow would think a blow out! I think a team from players not playing would roll this 1. Does this prove this coca cola cup is rubbish? Open your eyes SFL and change something!

Not sure whether Couch from Marion will play as he has been named in the Glenelg Reserves.

wasn't he named on bench in SFL side??
just goes to show the mockery of their selections.
I heard they went for size over skill this year when selecting.
The U/23s will probably run them off the park

as for clg would not win a game in the SFL i think we would comfortably beat hackham
we also played aldinga in a 4 x15 min quarter trial this year and won by 20 goals!

i reckon we would push flagstaff hill aswell

Trials are nothing..... Witnessed div 3 side get crushed by a div 5 side in a trial and went on to finish middle of the pack.

No one playing division six would make the state u/23 side - period.

Didn't Aaron Harvey CLGs captain make the SFL association side whilst playing for Cove a few years ago??

Quite a few years ago a lad by the name of Tim Zilm came to CLG from Goody Saints and he played Association Footy for Amatuers while we were in Div 7,Gun ruckman and took hangers every where

1. I'd expect an u/17 div 1 side to school a div 7 side; of course he's running around taking hangers every where
2. Even if he is div 1 quality player, he would be useless in an association game as he would not have div 1 match fitness, let alone div 5 match fitness
3. Div 1 Goody saints to Div 7 CLG!?!? What the fk is going on there? How much cash is CLG throwing around?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Zilm came to CLG toplay with his mates and got a bit of money but not much.Could of commanded alot more at other clubs.I would advise you to do some background work and see what he played like in the Association game. This shit about not being fit enough because he plays Div 7 is exactly that.CLG and any other club should be insulted by this comment, these clubs strive for success just as much as Div 1 clubs and train hard just like them.Opinions are exactly that but to make uninformed and unintellgent comments like that are dumb.

Dont knock the lower Divisions and their clubs.I would think that you havnt played or coached at any significant level by the look of thses comments

I think your right Kart Horse,if we are going to play these games then dont worry about how old players are just identify the best players in the league and send them invites with a follow up call from the coach. The very first Challenge Cup we had guys like Beeching,Milo and players of this calibre and we beat them.Lets get our best side on the park and then maybe more support will come.Just a thought, play the game at a local club like Happy Valley or Bice oval,South is just a crap place to watch footy with no atmosphere and drinks to expensive.

Terrific effort from the SFL boys today. Thought they'd be smashed with their outs, but the side that got out there and wore the jumper played with tremendous spirit and positiveness and almost knocked off the powerful visitors.
I take my hat off to the boys who wore the Southern guernsey today.

Haven't seen the official best players, but the efforts of Smith and Guilhaus holding out the Amateurs while they were constantly attacking in the second term went a long way towards keeping SFL in the match. Adam Ridley outstanding in Term Three.
