Must be a June long weekend thing for the Emu boys. Wasn't there a similar incident at Sea and Vines last year. On the SFL game, it was good to see a not near full strength SFL team push the Amateurs. It probably highlights the excellent depth of players in the SFL at the moment. SFL has alot of things to contemplate between now and next year including: C grade comp, anymore clubs to join SFL, clubs without full juniors, the balance between Saturday and Sunday juniors, and of course Association Footy.

All on the agenda for Mon delegates meeting.

I hope they review teams entering without Juniors again as I know its been talk to death about it But this week our A/B's are home and 18s at Flagstaff 16/14's at Morphett Vale Its killing teams there back up volunteers and the follow on support from families that want to support their club . Having teams away from home is a real problem likened to League football where teams have their own after match awards and continually drift away from club because of the non club atmoshere. i reckon we need to go back to the old days before the towny teams entered
do we really need edwardstown and morphy parks maybe even marion and brighton in our league i reckon if ya over the hill you can go play amature league IMO
i hate going to twisties to play its to far, shite ground
and we let edwardstown in WHAT FOR they have no juniors they arnt doin much for the league i reckon. we might as well have PHOS play and plympton oh and CLG, mitcham, goodwood there all south of the city ( im being sarcastic)

I was talking with one of the Porties lads this morning and he informs me this is the 3rd week that the club has been stretched all over the place.
The SFL needs to respect the clubs with full contingent of juniors and sides without to be disadvantaged.

Maybe someone with much more time than me could do some research on the draw to see how often those clubs with the full contingent get 'spread' all over the place? Saturday teams only. Would be interested if there is any discrepancy in the number of times each of these clubs gets a full 5 game Saturday compared to a 'fractured' one.

Teams with full Saturday teams would be Flaggies, Flies, Christies, Porties, Emus, shoes, Brighton, Valleys, Cove- any I've missed?

Is anything going to hapen to the guys who refused to play in the association game last weekend or are the SFL going to continue to be dictated to by the clubs. A couple years back Tedmanson fom portie got suspended for 2 games for not playing in the side and he finished the year on 97 goals whats going to happen to all the blokes who didn't play this year

It is not that long ago when Noarlunga could not field a full contingent of juniors. Good on you NFC for making it happen. At the same stage Hackham juniors with Chris Hall, Ben Woodhouse, Ryan Shaw etc were the top U/14's by a mile.

Wasn't Tedmanson suspended for not playing in the State Country Championships? He pulled out of that team with an injury but then lined up for Porties against Cove the same weekend.

Association game would be a bit harder to police as there isn't a club game being played that weekend.

Your comment good on you NFC for making it happen!
It did not just happen.People with a vision of where we needed to be looking at the big picture made it happen from hard work and a focus on developing within.
We now have more registered kids including minis than any club in the SFL and the hard work that was done is continuing with the same vision as we started with.

Please tell us Yetti where the extra 15 or so kids go?

Do we sit 15 on the bench each week and/or loose them to Soccer or other sports?

Dual sides are a result of those clubs working hard to attract juniors.

What are peoples thoughts on not having senior asociation football.

Only having Junior representative football, giving juniors a chance to play against the best of the age group and be seen by scouts.

Senior football is obviously not being supported by the best players in the comp. or all the clubs. Seniors have indicated they want a weekend off and some clubs prefering players to miss association footy in the chase for the one win of the year which really counts.

One other option has been suggested for Senior footy that being Thursday night which gives everybody the weekend off.

lootsy gave out what the little smart arse deserved, he threw the first one and lootsy just jabbed him bak and he fell like a bag of s***t and cried , just unlucky clem (the umpy) was behind us when happened, There was a good feeling between the southern boys though on sat,just gotta get the feeling out amongst the other clubs get involved in the game,play for the love of the game with blokes you respect and play against,represent the league,yourself and importantly your club i say,and as for the brighton boys not showing up or ringing toughen up princesses ohh thats right you could of got another tan ezy session in, As for playing the game at porties or a local club agree 100% and on the other note the lovelock sheild there could be a 2010 comebak on the cards time will tell i guess i know the SFL are keen. And for who was there on sat there was a player from morphettville park 20 year old sebastian guilhas 6ft 7 giant, watch this name in league footy over the next 10 years down the bay can play the game indeed as a big ruckman.Played a handful of league games already just wanted a year away for personal reasons

Regardless what the other player did lootsy shouldnt of reacted like that. SFL were losing and the other player got under his skin. Poor performances by a so called captain.

dont agree hills if someone hits you any normal human reaction would be too protect yourself and hit back!! regardless on feild or off thats my feelings anyway people might be different

Thought the night game against the South East a couple of years ago was a success at Happy Valley
Friday Night would be the go and Juniors to play on the Thursday Night.

I agree with Hills, when the games in the balance you want all your players to keep there heads no matter what happens on the field. and when your captain you should really be setting an example. and also when he got sent off, going off at the spectators and wanting to fight them while the game is still on, is not a good thing to do. i thought he made a d.ck of himself????
