Deemu you could not have been playing for morphett vale against lonsdale 12 years ago they were in division 2. Every club has some bad apples but i think you should look at this as an isolated incident. Speaking to people at the club on saturday not one person tried to condone what the young lad did. Please don't start a lonsdale are thugs campaign on one individual who has only just returned to the club after a spell at another club.

A square up for your hit on the young villain from earlier in the game, and he wasn't running away, was sent off although your umpy didnt see anything . The same umpy that went on the field from the coaches box a few years ago to knee a player in the head while on the ground near the boundary wasn't it. And whats with swinging at the runner who was trying to get his own players away from the push and shove. What is it about people in glass houses?

Fish, your ridiculous attitude is the reason why your club is having trouble in getting rid of their "thug" tag. I feel sorry for the people in your club that work their butt off to clean up the image of the club, only to have it shoved back in their face by selfish individuals like the one who knocked the young emus teeth out on satday. There were clearly some people from your club bitterly dissapointed with his actions and wouldnt surprise me if he is looking for another club to play for real soon. The young emu will need some dental work but is in good spirits and his teammates look forward to him getting back on the park asap.

I don't agree with what the young lad did, most players will wear a punch in the head as part of the game and get on with it, some players will seek payback, obviously in this case it was the latter. As with the alleged Thug tag I don't know where that come from. This is the first incident I can recall in a long time.

That is brightons weak link I would say. I also must say brookman did get touched up all day but no point wining ruck contests if your cant give it to your onballers which seemed to happen to m/parks a bit. Also i'm sure the council can re-design that oval to improve it knock the trees down 1 way streets at each end would be a start to provide more space.

anyone who thought them 2 umpires were good is from brighton... or has no idea wat so ever about football!!! they may not have made a difference in the result. but they were utter garbage!

Probably the same two who did Brighton/Marion game few weeks ago.
Absoluely disgraceful, the younger one let the Brighton boys talk him into anything.

What does to be confirmed mean? (BDOS) Surely the SFL can find at least two from BDOS, Given that they have the bye they should be supplying at least 4 for the squad.

DTH maybe you can answer? Is it going to be another case of BDOS looking at the bigger picture (Themselves) and not supporting association footy and giving lads a chance to play at higher levels.

Vicso1,
You will not get an argument out of me.
I might add that the SFL will be imposing fines and suspension for clubs/players that do not confirm.
That said I am sure the lads involved and the coaches only want lads that want to be involved.

Great to see Brett Miegel from Marion getting some recognition. That kid can seriously play.

Heard the Lonsdale lad has had a visit from the police think he's facing charges. That's what happens when an off duty cop is at the game

VC and White Line Fever. Are you so biased to think you got rough deals against Brighton. The team that plays the man and is second to the ball will always give away more free kicks than their opposition. We are used to these tactics from you guys and its fair to say that in both these games you were successful in keeping Brighton in check for fair chunks of the game, but your kidding me if you think you got rough deals from the umpies. Having said that, the young umpire in the Marion game and the older umpire in the Roo's game were sub-par in my opinion and struggled with the physicality of the football played but neither favoured one team over the other. It's attitudes amongst club officials and supporters like this that highlights why some clubs think everyone owes them something rather than getting off their backsides and getting their own house in order.

i seem to recall a certain morphett vale coach kneeing one of the lonsdale players in the head a few years ago. No one condones what the lad did but some of the morphett vale people are acting like there club has never done anything wrong in ever is starting to get on my nerves. The lad will be punished suitably by the law and i think people should stop commenting on it as it is now going to go before the courts.
