Bombers were sensational in the first half but were not all that flash after halftime being out scored. Their delivery in to the forward line was impressive considering the conditions. Shame We at the Valley didn't make more of a game of it in the first Half.

O'n'G The alternative Strip (blue with a yellow sash) is the original Happy Valley gurnsey they would have worn it when the oval was where the resivour is now. We play a Heritage round once a year and have a past players day usually on the same day. Its a great day a good chance to see some old heads around the club.

Are there problems at the Cove? There seemed to be a few of their faithful missing yesterday (President for one).
Ando cut a very lonely figure in the last quarter, standing on his own on the boundary line. Where were his mates? Does he still have any down there? What is going on?

The club had a major event that night at another venue, so many of the officials may have been there organising that towards the end of the game

Watched emus v cove saturday expecting a cracker like everyone else. Was surprised to see vick spend more time in forward line than on the ball (injured?). Also some regular premiership backliners playing up forward and looking out of their depth. Emus seem to have no weak links at the moment. Their 21st player is as good as their first.

Gee Norm and the Boys at Porties havent had much luck this year with lots of injury's, and two games called off and now maybe no where to train and play - Hope the Season gets better from here for all the Port Noarlunga people.

Any word on how much of the cleanup costs that council will be covering? I'd expect the club will be under a lot of pressure financial with the loss and or reduction of bar and gate takings.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

EV we have offered any support we can,
we have the bye this week and we understand Porties are away but a tweeking of the draw could see Porties bring one of their home games forward.
Also we are at the swimming centre Tues and Thurs night of so can accomadate them for training.

Great gesture by your club Shoeboy - Noarlunga has a great deck in wet weather so this would be a good offer for them to take up without too much stress on your oval.

Well done Shoes !
Heard today Reynella have also offered their facilities, and that Brighton and Marion have also expressed a willingness to help Porties out. Could be more by now that I don't know about.
Terrific to see the fellow clubs pitching in to help in a crisis.

Yes, that is a great gesture. Perhaps porties would be better off not training this week though. This week is a trip to wheatsheaf road.

Will any of this help extend to sharing any takings from hosting a porties home game?

Those home grounds already suffering from the serious wear and tear should be excluded from hosting additional games if a better ground is available.

Having looking at the program, Porties seniors have two home games left in the season.
25/7 against Brighton
22/8 against Christies

Both of these weekends, South Adelaide league/reserves are playing away (25/7 at Norwood, 22/7 at Elizabeth). I wonder if the SANFL could move U18s to make triple headers (which they have played a few this season), thus aloowing Port Noarlunga to use Hickinbotham as a home ground. Its the closest oval geographically, they can take gate takings and set up bbq's etc without too much hassle.

In terms of trainings, while nothing will be ideal from now, South U13-15's will be finished as of next week. Maybe South could offer the oval to Porties juniors for training at the very least, and if there is a free night (even if its Friday) offer to Porties seniors.

Well done to rival clubs for supporting Port Noarlunga, but I think the SANFL and SFL need to stand up and support them even further.
