Reason for that was because the Sharks never passed them on.
Not complaining, just heading off any queries about why the Mail never got them

No worries, Backliner ! Just thought I had to cover myself.
Meanwhile I'd like to add my own thoughts on the Aldinga effort against one of the major Flag contenders. Certainly no cricket score, and the Sharks found eight which was their best against real quality for some time.
Promising results from a future point of view for both the Sharks and the Hawks against two of the very best yesterday.

Maybe ZC or one of the emus could comment as I wasnt at the game, but apparently the Emus had too many on the field and got caught out with a head count?

Confusion came after players were shown yellow cards, and the Emus had already had 1-2 players self-benched for giving away a 50m penalty. Didnt affect any play at all, and umpires did a head count almost straight away, as noone seemed to know what was going on. When it was revealed that the Emus had one too many it brought the biggest cheer from the Flaggies supporters for the day. It was deemed as an interchange error, so Flaggies were given a free kick +50m penalty from the centre.

Sat was one of them games that all love to play in or watch from a neutral point of view. But I am not neutral so I was dissapointed.

Well done C/Beach to good at the end but we live to fight another day.

Just a couple of sour points and Dillgaff you as a team manager should no that you leave the rooms in the best state you can! The away room was left in a disgracefull state and I know as I am the bloke that has to clean up!! There are 2 bins and a broom and no excuse for this filth!

Also I know we won by 10 to 15 goals in the B grade but the C/Beach ump(Mick) put up the most biased performance I and all that watched, including 2 of your own life members that were left embarrassed watching with myself.

Shoe Boy, that was a bad loss for the Club on Sat.(as far as making finals go) and I thought you would be fairly angry but to only winge about dirty changerooms and biased umpiring then you may be in a better mood than I thought. :D

No doubt we were very disappointed but the game was a cracker and had all that the big crowd love to see.Blues/send offs/tough contests all over the ground and Bachman shaking hands was also good to see. We will learn from this and move on to the next contest against Marion and keep our eye on a finals spot.

I thought you boys would have got up Shoe Boy, so I can understand the disappointment, but saying that you have three winable games coming up and will need to win them all to give yourselves a chance and hope that Christies lose a couple.

Morphett Vale score has been posted on the Web with nine goals wiped off. League has sent out an email stating this has been done because of the count. Seems the umpires have been over-ruled.

agreed with the umpiring in the B grade was a disgrace the noarlunga supplied ump just let it go all day and only paid the obvious while the other bloke did all he could to help christies out. Luckily it had no effect on the result.

Wow thats a surprise the umpires got overruled. Perhaps if they spent some time learning the rules, confusion like this wouldnt happen in the first place. An emu gave away a 50m penalty and came off straight away because it is a team rule. The umpire decided nearly 10 mins later that he showed that player a yellow card. The umpire should have followed that player toward the boundary rather than hold up a yellow card surrounded by 15 -20 players who were engaged in a malee. Lets hope this doesnt happen in a game which could affect the end result.

What an absolute Farce. At no time during the game did the umpires have any control. When a scuffle broke out they paniced and started just holding up a yellow card.
From what I understand both interchange stewards were unaware that anyone from morphett vale was even sent off and the player being sent off wasnt aware either. (he ran off due to team rules not because the umpire sent him off).
I am aware that undisciplined play from both sides is the major cause for this incident, and yes the morphies players have been penalised in the end.
But what disciplining do the umpires get for making multiple mistakes. (i am not talking about the multiple of mistakes they made throughout the game either) Surely it is there job to let the other officials (interchange stewards) and the player involved aware that a yellow card has been given. They can stop time for as long as they need so why shouldnt they run to the boundary and get confirmation from the interchange stewards as they do with an "all clear" with the goal umpires.
This is just incorrect procedure at their end.
Secondly they didnt know the rules enough to wipe the scores at the time so the game was played out in its entirity with all players etc. thinking that the score was correct.
What an absolute joke the whole scenario is but Im sure the umpires invovled will be told they did a good job when this is far from the case.

wont matter who makes 7,8 spot this league is so uneven they will both be out the following week both losing by over 7 goals the only thing to come for these finals games are injuries so no surf till jan(wisey) for some eg christies may make it but only a week ago they lost to marion sitting well below them on ladder by 7 goals really they have to face facts their wasting there breath yes got to be in it to win it but no team out side the four will take the cup

Well is that the first time someone has ever kicked 100 goals in the same season twice?????? :o Officially Pollard kicked his hundreth late in the first quarter, but when MVs score was wiped middle of the second quarter, all goals and goal kickers went back to zero also, taking him back to 99.......
So he kicked 100 again with his next goal after the incident! 8)

Info I was told for the reason they didn't take the score off at the time of the incident, was for fear of massive supporter backlash, and what may have arised. The umps knew the count rule, implemented it, court them out, so should have wiped the score then and there!
Made for a weird rest of the game, because with the penalty score, it was MV by only 2 goals lead at 3 qtr. time, but was told neither them of F/Hill actually knew if that was the case or whether it was what was still showing on the scoreboard (showing MV 11 goals up)

Would have been real interesting if F/Hill had a good last qtr. and won the game in penalty (real) terms but not the untouched score board terms!!!
