A good point is being made that what was the difference between that and Ponting's decision in the second Test? Such inconsitencies are a real worry.

I agree. I would have thought that these issues would have been sorted once the decision had been made to start referring.

It is a real worry and is what is fueling the frustration at Rudi.

Good partnership by North and Clarke to just about make sure we won't lose this one from here. Both deserve to make 50's and hopefully they are both unbeaten when stumps are called.

Going forward is it time that Michael Clarke steps up to the number 4 spot and put Hussey to number 5? Clarke has been superb this series and deserves the extra responsibility IMO.
