TURNING CIRCLE
just on todays mini's carnival. tough conditions 4 all. posts blowing over hahaha. but hackem put on a good show.
but whoever set the draw up wrecked the day. they tried to get average sides to the finals by putting the best sides in the same pool. which is absolutely ridiculous when reynella and marion had only lost 2 games for the year get pooled together with both brighton sides who hadnt lost too many. anyways marion and reynella both missed finals.
now this might seem insignificant to most, but these kids battle they're ass off to become a good side. win most games and miss out on playing any finals, because of the draw. its like saying well done to geelong and stkilda for being the clear best 2 sides this year but u'll play an elimination final first week. or playing federer vs nadal first round Wimbledon.
very angry at who's fault this is. utter bs

That is what happens when you do not have a competition all year and play participation footy. The SFL asked all clubs to rate their teams from 1 to 10 so as to make the draw equal. This is what happens when you do this. How do you rate teams with having a measuring stick like a ladder for the year? Until the arrogant managment at SFL house is changed we will have a mickey mouse comp. Also playing on half grounds over 2 halves is not an indication of the work and development put into teams by coaches and players, who play on full ovals over 4 quarters for the rest of the year, where kids are taught proper structures and game plans. I did think though that Brighton Black were a very very good team who are very well disciplined for under 12 footballers and derserved their win. Lets work to get some modern thinking football people at the SFL.
Hackham did a fantastic job of hosting the day, a lot of work I hope it paid off for them they derserve all praise and credit.

cove looks like it has finally got up and going. but i wouldnt read to much into the two brighton losses i still rekn they could go alrite come september.
well done to the parks yesterday. some good battles recently in the twistie cup. as was the story yesterday. i think it'd be a shame if they missed out for the shoes as i think the parks have more of a chance in the first elim.
