yes indeed those names would be big losses for compass! They are probably fortunate that their depth is pretty good. can anyone confirm /deny that mclaren are losing ifould and bodie wilson and willunga are losing minot, harding, williamsom etc ? possibly bigger losses than what mt compass may have! :o

JR I was under the impression that the only reason WIlliamson and Harding played GSCA cricket was to see those vibrant and breathtaking cliffs of Rapid Bay. How can they perform week in week out without the mystical cliffs to provide endless inspiration.

I don't think the Seaford Meadows provide enough inspiration for these boys to perform either, so I hear they are off to Cape Town, where the cliffs make Rapid Bays cliffs look like nothing more then Hardings nipples on cold days.

The vibrant hills and cliff of Rapid Bay wont be enough to keep Williamson , Harding , Basso and McMillan in the GSCA! Heard from a good source that the lads next winter are heading to England to work and play Cricket! So they have decided to all play turf this season to gain experience! Will be interesting to see if this is true!

Heard from a reliable source that Williamson will retire from cricket to take up an apprenticeship with the Paddle Pop Lion. Bob won't be around forever, and the weekly scores and ladder won't process themselves. The Lion has named Williamson as his successor, and he will now complete a rigorous 4 year apprenticeship to learn the trade.

I heard the process for this will go down the same road as the popular channel 9 show 'Farmer Wants a Wife"! The rigorous process will include 20 possible successors with BOB selecting his top 5 and then taking them on several dates each to local hot spots like the Mt Compass Tavern and so on! He will then pick his Favorite 2 who will then move in and live with BOB for all of the 09/10 season! They are required to go through the day to day running of the GSCA and undertake BOB's daily grooming routines! That beard doesn't stay shiny and pretty by itself! Also heard that tasks entail learning how to play the beloved square log cut shot! And bowling the crafty slow medium outswinger! If the 'Chosen One" shows they have the ability to pursue this they may even be offered the role of A Grade goal umpire for the bulldogs during the winter months! I must say i have seen an advanced screening and i can safely say that Bob's final 5 include Alex Williamson, Mark Mitton , Gary Dalitz , Rhys Muter and Killer ( 4'3 Umpire from Aldinga). Who will be the Chosen One??

Also heard there is a sequel to this with the position of Mark "Cheese" Rowley to be filled over coming seasons!! Who knows what format that will be in! Watch this Space!

Yes it is true Port Elliot is the place for me,cant wait to play with some of my old team mates again, only going as i heard Luke Elliot is going to b the captain, with Tyson Hack as vice great place over there with plenty of goon sacks to drink after the game and play station at puppets house, bring on the Bloods. We cant loose with young tear away fast bowler Hamish Robertson playing and sending those thunderbolts ,fastest bowler since the great Burg from what i have heard.

There is no doubt if Rock is on the ball that Port Eliiot will be competitive and with a few people leaving from some of the top tier teams may be a suprise packet....
Im just working out if Ty Hack needs 5 or 6 gullies for my fielding plan?????

Tyson Hack? Now there's a blast from the past... I remember someone mentioning on the previous GSCA site that Ifould was pretty easy to pick up in the gully.. Well Hack would have to be the king of the cut.

First time ever a field set with 3 gullies as well as 3 fly slips... not much hit in front of the wicket with old Hack!!

PS any word from Bloods? Where are you Bloods? A bit of curry from WestIndiesWonder and Bloods goes missing! Hope that's not a sign of things to come from the Elliot boys...

Must be something in the water down there... ex-player B Wilson doesn't mind the odd cut shot now and then either...
