An honest assesment form the outside looking in
Morphies - to win the flag this year from what i've seen to many options (tall/small, up front/down back)
Cove - still puzzels me how they got the draw they did after winning the fla
g
Reynella - depends on how bad Reynella's injuries are if they finish 2nd or 3rd
Townies - to get found out (soft draw) Maybe higher if they get everyone fit
Brighton - Good mid-field no real high quality fwds
Happy valley - not sure didnt see them this year
Christies - Making up the numbers
Noarlunga - Making up the numbers (we will see if they really are developing their kids and exposing as many as possible to the major round or playing older journeymen instead)

Panther what is puzzling you about Cove's draw?

was thinking the same thing........??

The two best sides this year out of Marion, Parks, C Beach, Shoes would be the first 2, but they missed finals!!!
I personally think Parks have been HUGE improvers this year. But what would you know with your 7 posts.

You see beating two teams that are on the improve as a good season?? From what I saw of both Marion and Noarlunga, the shoes have more to look forward too with some promising young players mixed in with the traditional money cha$ers.

Parks probably have improved a little bit but it looks like they have improved more than they really have due to Porties and Valley coming back to the pack. Tough draw or not, to make finals one year and then miss the next would have to be seen as an unsuccessful season.

copestick/irvine/beens/roe/goldfinch/carlyle/miller/lloyd/smart/mott/srawbridge/frick/birch/simpson/tasker/mitchell all are 18 or younger and are or have played A grade footy this year and if not A grade are playing B grade footy currently, all bar 2 are still under 18 footballers. Also well done to Dave the 18 coach who has supported the development of these lads and worked with the remainder of 18's that will play finals footy this year.

Judging by comments, a Shoes victory over the bushies is a foregone conclusion this week.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

9 minutes... wondered how long it would take you to give the standard response... :D

I know the shoes will take them seriously, more commenting on everyone else on this forum penciling you in for a win and the subsequent finals spot.

Not a bad crop of youngsters there Shoe Boy,
But Morphies while staying up the top always seem to have a great crop of youngsters coming through also, how do you rate the group you just mentioned against the likes of Green, Runting, Carroll, Smith, McCormac, Bennetts, Watkinson, Carpenter, Reynolds, Chamberlain etc etc.
And you also have to look at the age of most of there gun players also and would suggest they will be around for plenty of years also.

Big call on Brighton not sure if you have had your head in the sand but they go ok, Reynella are a big chance and Townies drew with MV and beat cove by 15 goal so maybe you may want to rethink your predictions, but agree MV the team to beat and they will play in GF.

Slammer these lads made up the under 16 side that lost one game (grand final) 2 years ago and have been challenged to play up and some have made the transition well and are now A grade footballers.

We made decissions to focus on our kids and we believe this core group will be the backbone of future success at the club.

Another rumor doing the rounds today:

Community football board is going to re zone the SFL to metro from country, might affect the Association footy amongst other things.

Hear that the SFL Board is less than impressed and talking about dis affilliating with the Community football board.

Reckon this could create problems.

Last round.

M/Vale V E/Town. Morphies to show who is the real deal. (cant loose top spot)

Brighton V Reynella. Brighton cant loose 3 in a row?

H/Valley V Cove. Cove

Pt Noarlunga V C/Beach. Porties have a lot of pride and dont loose to this lot often.

Flaggies V Noarlunga. Huge game for the Shoes and a chance for finals action.

Lonsdale V Marion. Marion

Hackham V Aldinga. Bottom of the table clash with Aldinga in a close one.

M/Parks (Bye)

M.Parks (Bye) ---- is that with a wave of the hand, SB ?
You are right about the Emus set in top spot. Eddy has to beat them by fifty goals to take it off them. And with Brighton and Reynella meeting the Towns can't end up fourth.
This gives us part of the picture for the Quallies ---- Emus will play at Noarlunga ---- Towns to play at Aldinga.

Both Marion and Parks played finals last year (from memory), both will miss this year, Parks knocked off Reynella (Big 6 if you like) they haven't this year, however they have been pretty competitive i will give you that, as for Marion, bring in a new coach and some new faces, miss the finals and reserves are one of the worst teams in the comp, so how can you state that they have moved forward??

And when you are not in the running to win premierships that is the best thing to do so well done. And with Seaford being as big as it is now you should be having plenty more juniors still coming through the ranks as well and aim to rise up the ladder using your own home grown players and not have to offer the big $ to get them from other clubs as per years gone by.
