With 15 and 20 goal outings to be had over the likes of Hackham, Aldinga, and for two years Morphie Parks and Lonsdale a 120 or 130 goals is probably the equivalent of 100 when the competition was more competitive.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

i get what your saying but pollard gets the ball lace out an extra 30 times a game where the bottom clubs full forwards dont have it up there as often and generally havent got it lace out so they earn the goals they get. if butcher was at a morphett vale hed have his ton every year also. not saying that they dont earn it either but it sure would help

The comment about godwin get serious he retired from a grade football about 3 years ago and would be mid 30s. i for one would be stoked to still be able to run on the field at that age and is not a benchmark for how good he was as a full forward he also kicked a few tons in his time

Milo second ???? You can't be serious. How many times has he won the SFL goalkicking ? (I rest my case).
Absolute gun of a player. I rate him one of the mightiest the League has seen. But No.2 two full forward of all time ? No way.

when fully fit he can absolutely dominate a game at full forward BTP, and thats where hes played most of his footy in the SFL... (a part from this year only) equal to pollard i reckon - both great forwards. ryan from cove was awesome i reckon.

Spot on ! The guy is an absolute destroyer. Dave Earl knew where his value was best though, and look what he has done this year !
Great and powerful full forward, but nothing like the power he unleashes further out, especially when a man as capable as Andy Procter looks after business so well in the scoring zone.
Milo's reported injury trouble is an absolute tragedy for Reynella's 2009 hopes. If true it leaves a mighty big hole.

The Shoes are renowned for spending up big, how do YOU justify the sums of $$$ dished out when yuo can't even make the 8?

well said mate, only problem is u may be waiting for a while to get a responce from shoe boy now that the a's are out,me thinks ya responce will come if one of there other sides get a win at sum stage in the finals, other than that get on the cricket forum.

Just back in the office Cyclops as I dont run from any questions or hide!

This stigma of money that the Shoe pay is from past history 2000 -2003 and that stigma is justified in that time but the direction the club has taken since is far from that. That doesnt mean money doesnt change hands it does as in ALL clubs and we the commitee are responsable for the direction of this club both on and off the field and I can tell you that both are very healthy. Yes we expected the A grade to perform much better than they have and the player group and coaching staff will go through the review process so we can move on and get this club back the respect it deserves.

Shoe boy, Can you confirm the rumours we are hearing the your A grade coach Mick Irvine will NOT be coaching next year??

From what i hear, some people at noarlunga were looking for a replacement even before the season began, and if what i am led to believe is correct, Then $am Money (who will fit in well with the $hoe$) and his mate Braidwood will be coaching Noarlunga next year in a deal that was done before the season was started. Trev Rigney will also be at Noarlunga, and those 3 alone will be on more money than the majority of teams pay out for a season. Plus the money that will no doubt be paid out to other money chasing players next year at the shoe.

Milo's record in Finals kicking goals isnt that good which puts him behind Ryan and Pollard

Mole what a load of crap!

Lets cut the crap and tell it as it is. Barry Pilmore will be back as coach in 2010 with his assistant Mitch Portlock and Steve Hill will be coaching the B grade. :-o

I challenge you to find any player that plays the majority of the season fully fit that is a stupid comment. Pollard is rarely ever fully fit, bit of a sook when it comes to his sore spots, but if you knew half the injuries the guy played with you'd be singing a different tune.

Winning the goal kicking doesn't automatically make you the best FF, afterall, Fevola won the coleman medal in 2006 when Carlton finished bottom.

no surprises there.

Do you honestly think that Butcher would kick a ton in a forward line that consists of Beeching, Short, Ellison, Bayley etc.?

Yes, but the best of all time (or even the second best) would have to have won the goalkicking at least once, you would think.

he would at least go very close. 55 goals in a team that scored 1300 for the season and pollard has got 100 something in a team that scored twice as much for the year. it goes both ways he has the help around him but others kick goals also. he kicked 78ish 2 years ago. i just see week in week out how hard he has to work for each goal when its put over his head etc where pollard gets it out in front on a lead. alot of people will agree with me and alot wont i bet most that dont are from top clubs. how many would pollard kick if he was at lonsdale

Thats like saying Jack Riewoldt/Mitch Morton are better forwards than Fevola or Jonathon Brown because theyve kicked 40 odd goals for Richmond who are bottom of the ladder and struggle with disposal. Give me a spell.
Does he get teams put 1-2 people back into the space in front of him.........
Beat the whites of eggs with a pinch of salt until stiff...Continue beating, gradually adding sugar, vinegar and vanilla, until of thick consistency.

I find it interesting that the great man "shoe boy" is affected about rumours involving his club...what is going on down a Shoe land...first you miss the finals, and now the coach who has promoted youth and rebuilt the club is getting the boot? Surely not, I thought you ran the club?

He definately wouldnt because he wouldnt be good enough to get into that side. No room in there with those blokes and you didnt include pitman in those names.
