I was at the reynella/Morphett vale Agrade game on the weekend, can some body please shed some light on why the hell reynella made there ruckman (thats on big $$$$$) follow shorty around all day instead of trying to create some play himself.
From the side lines it looked pretty stupid, and there were alot of comment that backed my thoughts up.
(Why would you take your own No1 ruckman out of the game yourself)

pretty obvious thru my one eye mate, did u think shorty had much influence on the game?.shorty's 2 biggest strengths are 1-tap work,2-his ability to find space around the ground.i will actually go into bat for bayliss here coz i thought he done a good job on shorty,i also think there 2nd ruckmen ciampa i believe does a pretty descent job also so i dont think they lost to much with bayliss following shorty around the ground.i think good coaching on early's behalf.

i understand were your coming from, but why not have bayliss in the middle and there second ruckman running around with shorty. i dont think bayliss stop him from getting the ball all that much. thought he would of done his best work playing his own game. you dont spend big big $$$$$$ to make him follow another player around. you spend $$$$$ to try and get that player to change the game around for u. just my thoughts thats all

Bayli$$ is a good ruckman & worth what ever Reynella signed him for. Maybe Early was seeing if Bayli$$ had another string to his bow by giving him a defensive job? Lets not forget Bayli$$ only started playing footy 4 years ago.... at age 35

Went down to the SFL final at Aldinga (junior games) and Noarlunga on Sat hoping to find out some information on a few coaches from last season, mainly juniors, in the hope of getting some on board here in Adelaide. Overheard a few od the supports talking about this site and decided to join in the hope of finding a couple of people in particular.

First person - coached Reynella U16 last year, possibly Jolly?? have asked around i know his son may possible be a boundry umpire but was unable to catch him on Saturday.

Second - has coached Morphett Vale juniors last couple of seasons, and i must say how he is not coaching this year is beyond me.. don't know much about him apart from the fact he is a bloody good coach, players respected him, played for him and from what i could tell LOVED him. From my observations him and his wife worked together, she was pregnant last season so it is possible that they are not doing anything because of this? I also went to the junior games on Sunday but no luck... Can anybody please shed some light as I am very intrested in speaking to him...

Past on your comment to Jolly and he said that he would be done at Noarlunga watching 16's before assistting U18' coach D.Murdock catch up with him there he will be please to speak to you

Goodluck & Cyclops
I cant believe I'm going to agree with Cyclops but I think he is on the money (pardon the pun) with this arguement. I'm not at Reynella this year so of the 4 games Ive seen them play, I've seen Jason play a 1/2 game. However, over the past few years Ive seen Shorty often being the difference between Reynella & MV, particularly in big matches. His ability to get in dangerous positions (filling holes & sneaking forward) alone around the ground has often hurt Reynella. Now Reynella has a player that can account for Shorty, but have another tall such as Luke who can do his thing around the ground. Ciampa has improved a lot in recent years so I would back Early's decision to let Luke play his own game.
I'm sorry Goodluck, but when 'trying' to win games, the coach should only be looking at what roles are best for the team at the time, not who is being paid what $$'s etc.

I havent seen these 2 sides play this year but im guessing Morphies have had the better of the wineys, so therefore i guess Early needs to try things to get the upper hand however late in the season

Brenton Tilly, Adam Broadbent, Callan Semple ---- the Wineys have plenty of backup for Procter.

Not sure who to tip in this one - Cove coming in to some form at the right end of the season, and Reynella having now lost 3 in a row! Should be a cracker.

What a game, that is the biggest come back i've seen in my SFL watching days. People who say RFC dont play for each other should have seen the last half today. extra time win! The old brigade run rings around cove in the second half. great game of footy. I think they were 8 goals behind early in the 3rd qTR.

Still baffled by the ridiculous decisions from todays game. I reckon I'll still be trying to work them out by next seasons start. Very disappointing
