It would be great for the lions if this were to occur - and the big fella will play for South again in the future - but i doubt it will happen next season...

I think you'll find that Freeling won or broke even in quarters or halves in most games this year. I can think of the first game against the Donnies and obviously the last one against Tanunda where they didn't. Weight of talent wins out in the end. So whens Fight night ?

where does this fight night come from that u keep harping on about, think u might be getting the donnies and lions mixed up. fight nights are a regular occurence down there this year.
Tex- how does gilligan go, hes a bit of a midget but can he pack a punch?

It remians to be seen how Milligan will go in 2010... hopefully he is able to attract some key players and help the lions climb the ladder

1st- Tanunda will still be that far ahead of the rest it wont matter and will might lose one game instead of none this season.
2nd- Angaston will be a good side this year, dont write them off just yet Texas.
3rd- Niklaus, Cooke, Clasholm massive losses for Gawler Central. No recruits yet. More pressure on Hahn again.
4th- South, can they break into finals??? Got exactly what they needed in the draft a couple of big men, to help the struggling undersize backline.
5th- Nuriootpa Will be very good this year. Two Salter's big value to have them back, will have close to best midfield in the competition. (Gerhardy, Gibson, Salter, Salter and Foulis)
rest made up of Freeling, Barossa, Willaston and Kapunda.

Fair to say Texas was a little off the mark with his predictions earlier in the year... Lets hope he can get some handy mail for 2010 at the Den!

Sounds like a bad case of small man syndrome PH.

Crumbing packs for a crust at the Donnybrooks during the 80's & 90's has obviously left you on a prescription of angry pills.

Your contribution as a battering ram would be folklore at Willaston but unfortunately it wouldnt justify getting a senior game these days.

Fat slugs sitting in a goal square could only marvel at my exploits in and around the contest, if i could be teleported from the 90's to the 00's i would still be kicking goals and splitting blokes in half.

The hard truths are Plugger is that flgas are imported these days because the local talent in the competition full of little boys with nice hair cuts, small hearts and no nuts.

Barossa Districts have been trying to buy premierships for years but never could, the likes of gavin chaplain and grant coffee couldn't measure up to the standard of the local competition but would chop up the mid-field and centre half backs running around this week.

Blokes like Tobasco sauce are living proof of how weak the competition is.

5ft 2 garden gnomes like yourself are dime a dozen . A power forward is on top of every clubs shopping list. The only goals you would have produced are hand balls over the top in the goal square , or crumbs spilt from the big boys contests.

Dont get me wrong players like yourself are usefull , especially as a step ladder.

I presume you are refering to Bascombe as Tobasco , he is a interesting story. Brenton was conceived on Menglers Hill to proud parents John Bascombe and his pet Alpaca. If he is in a top fours best 20 at finals time the comp is in trouble. I doubt we will ever see it reach the lofty heights of the 80's and 90's.

Thankyou B&S.
That's why people should remain silent and be all ears whislt in my presence.
Tex could learn a lot in spending a few minutes in my cave.
Maybe I could coach South?
I will still accept his apology, better late than never (7 months) :supz:
Maybe I could write a column for Argent.

Well the only thing that was going to happen, did, when ango made light work of nuri yesterday.
The panthers too strong all over the ground after some early gifts from the men in white!
Staff certainly had the rub of the greens with his favourite men.
Great show of respect gifting the kapunda showers to the victors after the game!
Onwards and upwards from here for the mighty blue and white boys!
Grand Final epic on the way!!

No real surprises yesterday.
Coach Hadden had a very well planned and executed game plan.
Stafford had a chance to overcome his demons, three strikes against the panthers and your out.
Very disappointing finals record starting to unfold at Tigerland.
The hot conditions seen a battle of discipline, mental strength and fitness.
If the men in white had a better day, the margin may have been 15+ goals.
Word coming out of Tigerland is the retirement of Gerhardy and Gibson to stand down from the captaincy.
Also had a congratulations call from Sven last night, look forward to going into the GF this week as underdogs.

I thought it was a bird, or a plane, no it was the "B-TRAIN"
Young Vickery was battling out of his weight division and caught the "B-TRAIN" napping.
Managed to do what a lot of people have wanted to do and open him up with 16 stiches.

onto this week now and should be a cracker of a game.
i have uncovered a trend in ango-tanunda matches this year

rd 1 tan 19.13(127) def ango 6.10(46) margin 81 points
rd 10 tan 17.10(112) def ango 11.6(72) margin 40 points
so obviously the grand final score will be
G/F ango 15.8(98) def tan 15.7(97) margin 1point.

lubcke under pressure to hold his job. the word around the place is greenwood wants the top job next year as he thinks lubcke is better suited to driving the supporters bus to freeling :o :o

Not just yet... Signing Milligan, who has proven nothing to date, apart from the fact that he may have a handfull of certificates to say he's sat through coaching courses on a Sunday afternoon (instead of having a life)??? mixed with the fact the there are many a rumor about players leaving, may turn a few off from putting them in the top 4 just yet.
But the stories will come soon on possible big name sign ups and then mix them with the rest of their existing over-rated palyers and youn smackheads and they'll finish even lower than they were this year...
My only prediction; Milligan to drop ladder position, as he did at kapunda... Therefore, freeling to even beat them next year...
Wooden spoons; great for stirring soup... p.s. I think I love Les baker
