I cant believe people will be foregoing the A grade GF this week to watch another league. Of course the GF would have a better atmosphere at Porties but as i have said in the past since playing at South there has been little to no crowd trouble which is why it was moved in the first place.

Think this will be the closest GF we've had in many a year. Reynella have been undermanned in their past 2 losses to Morphies and with Earl at the helm they might just have the advantage in matchups and knowledge of the opposition. Of course this could be counter-acted by the fact Reynella have had to come from behind (I'm going to overlook the obvious chance for a gag here) in very tough games over the past 2 weeks and are coming off a 6 day break.

I suppose if everyone on here agreed to meet on the outer wing at 1/4 time we could instigate some sort of SA Footy brawl - all in the name of bringing GF's back to Porties of course.

huge game - reynella will go in as roughies, but they now have the belief, which could have been lacking in recent years.

So shouldnt the club of the year be judged at the end of the year.

Z.C dont forget Reynella have three teams in on saturday (surely that makes them deserved club of the year!)

While it wouldn't surprise me if the SFL left all decisions to the night before the count. I'm led to believe that club of the year is decided on minor round.

Has to be average percentages. That's the only possible explanation.
Reynella had sides reasonably placed in all the grades they contested.
Definitely don't agree with Sunday Colts sides being taken into this, but if they were, that must be what cost the Emus.

Can see where your coming from now flyer but club of the year is determined by the end of minor rounds (apparently) and this is what the ladders looked like. I think the senior grades speak for themselves there. Who knows.

I guess it means stuff all in the end. everyone knows what every club is after and its all anyone remembers for years to come.

TL how did Brighton line up with that? I thought that they may have finished in front of Reynella as well

If it does go on average percentage per side. Brighton's average would have been dragged right down by their two Saturday colts sides (16's and 14's).
Reynella had a reasonable percentage in all grades they contested. I reckon that must be it.

Also the fact that David was an assistant coach for Morphett Vale just last year. That wouldnt have happened to often either.

Can't believe that people who follow the SFL all year will miss the big one and go and watch another grand final. Yeah we all agree the atmosphere was alot better at porties but if everyone if everyone gets behind it and comes along the atmoshere will get better. My opinion the grandfinal has outgrown porties, it may be better off glenelg oval instead

team man should be judged by the opposition coach, to easy to rig the team man award. I am not implying that it was rigged this year but just saying with the coaches doing it they could probably give the same person 3 votes every game.

How would the opposition coach know who is the best "Team Man" of the opposition, they do not k

Not really sure lgin am just throwing an idea out there to find a better way than the current idea. Just thought someone impartial would give a more accurate idea of the best team man. This would stop the accusations of it being rigged.

Who would be number 1 on your hit list swooper? I wonder if the mexican would come out of hiding and face some of his nemisis. it could be a good old "mexican standoff".

Obviously Saturday U 14's is weighted heavily in the Club of the Year voting. And as for the GF, no drunk 16 year olds fighting and paying for your drinks and entry means no atmosphere? Maybe if you whingers went there might be some.

Surely, this is worrying for the league!! this should be a big day with HUGE atmosphere no matter who plays!

Will be no problem for the league because as stated there will be plenty of people pay and watch there teams and then leave, SFL couldnt care less if they stay as they have got the takings and will tell everyone how crowds are increasing.
Local footy atmosphere means nothing to them.

How many of u have played in a GF at Noarlunga SAFC? Maybe we should ask the players that play on the day how they feel about the atmosphere? Try asking the morphies and cove plays as I believe they are the only 2 clubs to have won their! I dont think they would complain about it! But in saying that south couldnt get anything right!
