Who got the BOG medal for the Morphett/Reynella Grand Final ?
And does anyone know who won the medals for the B's and colts grades ?
SFL hasn't got them on the website.

Past form of plympton posters suggest you were having a go at the comp.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Well done to the mighty emus. six grand finals in a row for five flags. history shows when we win one it turns in to four. with such a young group and some talent coming throu the juniors maybe
the best is yet to come.
Bad luck to the black pants. Nothing better than beating you in a grand final.

DTH checking in and pretty happy to have picked the 5 winners from yesterday. Great weather, great day. As far as I know, no major incidents other than a couple of minor disagreements on Cobra Hill. Reynella supporters seemed to make the Hill their own just like Cove last year. I reckon the crowd was even better than last year and nice to see plenty on outer wing to add atmosphere for the players. Porties is now a distant memory. Well done to MV. Reynella were coming at them in 3rd but needed to kick more than 2 goals in that qtr. Had enough ball up forward to do alot more damage on the scoreboard. Major difference was Pollard kicking 6 and Proctor hardly getting a touch. What did Polly have to do to win the Medal. Bayly's were great but Polly set it all up in first half.

For those who asked: B grade Medal was won by Todd Alexander (Bombers) and Under 18 Jim McIntosh (Bombers). I know its all about winning the A grade flag but the Bombers jagged 5 out of 8 for the 2nd year in a row.

Cyclops, ZC, Spanner etc. Please tell me there were mass retirements down at Wheatsheaf Rd late last night.

I got the same info on the Lonsdale Hotel mate... surely if they're players the club would have to give them the flick. I guess they'd probably be going away for a while anyway.

Congrats to all the winners on Sat and as for the Shoe 16 side beaten by a better side on the day. As for the lads that painted "PORTOIES PREMIORS" on the road leading into the Shoe well done but come back and get the spelling correct.

As for the venue I am bending but if we are dinkum let the cars in and fill the place as the atmosphere was nothing compared to the GSFL.

well done to MV - much better on the day! again RFC on the wrong side of defeat - i think some of the lads have lost 4 or 5 now! the fight on the hill was between a few people with nothing to do with the club, same goes with the lonsdale arrests. the coach has changed the club alot in one year - well done

The fight on Winefly Hill on Saturday were from some extremely drunk 'supporters' who in the few years Ive been around the club have not seen once. One of them was standing behind me for a while & I'm not surprised that he got involved in a fight to be honest. Was great to see a lot of support from family, friends and friends of friends etc. Both were wearing Reynella gear though.

Unfortunately every club has people they wish didnt associate themselves with the club. The behaviour of a few clowns (especially with alcohol etc) does bring down the image of the entire club.

As for Morphies, definately best team on the day and all season. The forward entries between the clubs was a huge factor with Pollard getting hit lace out & Milo/Proccy having to out muscle opponent with the ball landing on their heads (Smith was superb). The Baylys were great but those guys only need an inch and they will takeseveral yards. Only thing that annoyed me was everytime they get tackled, they shrug the tackle by ducking & get a free kick as a result. The player I thought was the giant killer was #9 (Ellison?). Did whatever he wanted all game, was unaccounted for & set up many forward attacks.

Congrats to all at Morphett Vale (gee that hurts to say).

You wouldn't believe I had to miss it all
A full-day course I had to attend ended up clashing with Grand Final Day. All I got to see was the first quarter of the Fourteens.
I'm very interested in learning more about the third quarter. Can anyone tell me which Wineflies were getting them back into the contest, and was Smith the main reason they didn't get enough of it onto the scoreboard in this period ?

Flies had heaps of ball in the frrst three quarters and just couldnt put the score on the board. the delivery into the forward line was bad and their defence good! Just had the feeling if Reynella scored 1st in the last quarter after having it in there for the first 5 minutes it would have been game on! but instaed MV piled on 4 unanswered goals.

Big congratulations to Morphett Vale - deserved the grand final and was clearly the best team all year in the SFL. Bad luck to the Winefly's but atleast you were there to give it a crack. Morphies would have been rocking saturday night that is for sure. I like the way the fight & lonsdale break in was nothing to do with the club - EXCEPT - for wearing the team colours. Oh well, do silly shit wearing team colours is never a good thing - gives your club a BAD look that is for sure. Well done again EMU's - enjoy and then nick off and give someone else a go in 2010. ;)

I managed to be at Hickinbotham from 3/4 time of the 18's until 15 minutes into the last quarter of the A's after being at McLaren for Junior colts and a bit of senior colts and the SFL is really letting supporters and more importantly the players down by having the GF Hickinbotham. Was plenty of people there but was definite lack of atmosphere compared to that of the GSFL and previous SFL Finals.
