We are very suprised to have acquired the services of Arren! He will be an extremely good player for us and we are hoping to have him part of our next premiership.

Tight Lines, i can understand where you are coming from, but from what i know i think Fossy is pretty much best mates with Arren isnt he? Looks like ul be having fossy anyway, so looking forward to playing him and sheidow park ;)

And booney, glasshouses, nice!!!

Are people interested in doing a 'pick the ladder' type of thing. It was run in the SANFL forum, where u pick the ladder and at the end of the minor round, for every team you have got in order, you get 6 points. For every position they are away from your prediction, you lose .5 of a point.

Maximum points would be 72 points.

My prediction of the ladder.

Ramblers
Western Youth
ICC Sharks
Glenelg ANA
Plympton
Keswick
Sheidow
Westminster
Morphy Parks
North Haven
Coromandel
South Road

10 days to go the season starts.

Bring it on!

Seeing as I will be a 'casual observer' from Section 2... I would be willing to take CONTROL of the tipping competition.
I could setup a HOTMAIL account ASCAtipping@hotmail.com.au perhaps (this is not setup).
Charge $5 entry fee, winner take all, as a gift voucher to Adelaide Cricket Warehouse (or Liquormart).

And an idea for a third tip.... Top 3 for Hewitt Medal

Let me know, and I'll setup the hotmail account.

why aren't "Umpires" a team? they need support to

Is there a maximum limit to PM inbox/outbox? Most forums I have been involved with have a set limit. Hotmail on the other hand will be limited to storage size, but then that can be worked around by linking it to 'Outlook'. I'll setup the hotmail account anyways, but will accept PM, there just wont be a record if someone challenges any of the results.

Comp#1 - Round by Round Tipping
Just Section 1?
In case of a tie..... split winnings or count back based on first game in handbook each week?

Comp#2 - Final Placings
Before Finals, or including? My thoughts are 3 points for exact spot, and 1 point for out by one place.
Tip to be in before the start of round 3.
In case of a tie..... the earliest entry wins.

Comp#3 - Hewitt Medal Top 3
5 points for naming correct winner, 3 points for naming correct runner up, 3 points for naming correct second runner up. 2 points for winner being in your top 3 (but not first), 1 point for each player but incorrect place, bonus 2 points for having all 3 but none in the correct place.
In case of a tie..... earliest entry wins.

$5 per entry. Allow multiple entries for comp 2 & 3 ??
Money to be passed on to a Western Youth Centre club captain, or president Mark Whenan during delegates' meetings, in an evelope addressed to Russell King.

PM me with any ideas for further rules, and I will attempt to have more definite rules written by Tuesday next week. Also PM me with full name and club which of the Tipping Competitions you would like to be involved with

If we make it $20 per entry, you could pay for my next holiday

Im in. But I think entries should be in before start of season. Surely anyone on this forum can come up with their tips in 10 days.

I think all entries in before the start of the year! Makes it harder to pick for mine.

Affix8, the reason i did 6 points and .5 off a point for every place you are off, so it is then possible for everyone to score points for every team. It's been shown to be the easiest way in the SANFL forum with the ladder predictions.

Is it $5 for each one, so therefore $15 for all three comps??

Have not heard much from them.
From 2 years ago, there bowling was pretty good but batting struggled. If they have rectified that they will be mid table with a couple of upsets i would think.

With Noack, i noticed on NHCC website that they had J.Quirk winning the bowling last year with 17 wickets. Altho Noack took 18 last year, before he was suspended for a year by the club.
Bazza shed any light on that?

Cmon Bazza, surely a suspension doesnt stop the bloke from winning a Bowling award if he had taken the most amount of wickets??
