Brahma vs AV: Lodge need a winning start, AV have lost a couple players. Carmen brothers will be the key for AV, contain them and should be a Lodge victory in a close match.
SW vs Virg: SW all class, will be too strong and wouldn't be surprised if they went undefeated for the year.
OTH vs RC: Don't know much about either, being a couple years since I played both so not sure how they shape up. I'll go for RC.
ATCO vs SN: North to win easily, Bomber to make plenty, Groover to get 50 and 4 wickets but not enough.

Do you know for sure that Angle Vale have lost a few, they've had some pretty handy players playing B's over the last couple of years aswell, they definetely don't lack depth.

Sorry, my mail said that they lost B Pearce, and the fella with dreadlocks...name escapes me...who has gone overseas. So a batter and bowler down. Pearce will be the one they miss the most, but I am unsure on who they have gained so can't comment on any of that. If we assume they haven't gained any (haven't heard anything to suggest otherwise) I would still pick AV to come 4-5. Much comes down to the Carmen brothers, J Carmen reminds me a lot of Kenny Mac when he was at his peak. Great line and length and can swing in and out. They were definitely a class above in Grade 2, as you would have seen last year.

Pearce is an opening bowler, the spinner is a guy called Ash, pretty handy with the bat if unorthodox.
Were a good team last season but couldnt pull it off in a final???

That's been mentioned on here, there's been some dud info written here though.

Yes Pearce is the opening bowler, good left armer who can get good movement through the air. Ash....thats his name, was very unorthadox but could hit a ball.
Was an excellent team, even when we had them in trouble the 2 times we played them last year they still managed to pull something out of the bag. As for the finals, they wouldn't be the first to under-achieve when It comes to finals.
LM dont know a lot of the guys who play at Riverside anymore, there are still a few fguys left from when I played out there. Colby,Mann and a couple of others that have dropped down to their B grade. I have heard they have lost a couple of players from last season, Edge gone back to ATCO and Harris I believe is doing a junior side for the Jets is what I heard?? May not be correct though only hear say!!

It's been a bit of a nightmare week, just got a clearance back for a batsman from Freeling, will be very interesting at training tonight, I've heard a few stories, we'll see which ones are true tonight. They seem to have a bowler that took a fair few wickets last season.

Don't be surprised if your oval got top-soiled today, ours did yesterday and Central United looked like they were about to get done, great work by the council considering our oval has been idle for 5 weeks.
