Bobbed in there before watching some Lodge v AV, well done EP, their bowling attack would be quite handy in Grade 1. 1 tip down for me too....
Well done to AV as well, J Carmen with 5 for is a quality bowler. All square at this stage, will be an interesting first 10-15 overs.
bowled well and talked some smack to browney, see how he goes with the bat
Most of them do it, but it's part of the game. If people can't handle it they can always play cricket on the PS3. When they have been as successful as they have rising through the grades through the last couple years, it breeds confidence/arrogance. Sledging is all part of the game, but you have to make sure you can back it up, which is quite clear he can.

He didnt sledge much last season was more coming from his brother behind the stumps........
Churches, his younger brother is playing for Eastern Park, a bit quicker that Pete from all reports.
Saw a little bit of him on the weekend, I think Pete is a little bit quicker. Saying that Pete never was one to get much movement with the ball, just up and down with pace.
Interesting with the younger one at EP, they have some good quicks out there and will have no troubles bowling teams out.
Those that played them, how will Riverside and Parafield Gardens shape up this year? I know it's hard to judge on one half game, just curious to see how they compare after coming up from Grade 3?

Our B's played against both of them in the same game last season, the general consensus was that Ray was a tad faster. Riverside picked up a left arm opening bowler from Sandy Creek although he missed all of last season.
We had a bad start to our season, both opening bowlers injured themselves on their first deliveries, one of them strained a side muscle and the other a groin, one was able to bowl a proper spell the other got to his 3rd over before not being able to continue. It wasn't ideal considering we went in short in the bowling department anyway.

One of the lads Rory Andrews (left armer) should be playing for the Jets, but was disgruntled and left them for more opportunities. Only 16???? so more growing to go. Will be a dangerous bowler when he reaches his peak. Also good to see Kenny McConnell having another bowl, was a great bowler before he had trouble with his shoulder. Give him a couple of games to get the confidence back, would have being a luxury to have him first change on the weekend.

Well considering that it was a good effort to have them rolled for 110 odd. See Raud 5 for, heard rumours last year he was disgruntled out there. A very good cricketer, damaging with bat and ball. Good to watch when on song.
