would think he would get that in most leagues straight out of AFL into the prime time country football, if a sanfl reserves player can get $300-$400 and a league player can get $500-$800 surely he could ask that, dont u think?

You would have your "hand" on it to think that any club pays money under the table.
His club would no doubt take advantage of the K-Rudd stimulous "Hand Out"

I think there is a forum that you blokes would be better suited to, rather than wasting everyones time writing crap on this one. If you click "View Active Topics" it should be under the "Wankers who laugh at thier own jokes: this is for you" thread.

well if u want to talk football, lets get back to it, but i dont see much interaction recently,
So as i am reasonable new to this league,
Season 2010 who are the major contenders Two wells, Virginia, Mallala?
teams on the improve Hamley, United?
teams going backwards hummocks, balaklava
Two Wells - great young core group lots of talent have to be careful not to get to far ahead of themselfs tho
Virgina- Good coach, lots of money, just need to get the heads of many players right and the right imports together to be top team, start to get winning mentality and not loose it in big games
mallala- runs on the board just interesting to see who is in and out
hamley- Great club spirit, sponge will do well, good fit, his knowledge of players and his preperation for a game will see them make huge in roads in his first year.
united- finally right coach for the club, if they can hold some core players and make sure the paid players are doing the right thing before the games and are there for the right reason they will improve
hummocks- no thomas will be huge, lot of players getting tired of the travel, think the club is up for a down year. have been good for a long time. Rebuilding
Balaklava- think this club is in trouble could be interesting

What do you all think?

Post this on the BLG site

can some confirm this, if so not good

Heard last night that a Virginia player (a backmen) was invited out to Central District to do a pre season and try his luck in the league/ Reserves squads, part of joining CDFC is that your home club has to be Gawler South and if you dont make it with us you need to go back to South so we can keep an eye on you for future weeks...This seem very interesting that two young guys have joined south this week...the jeff brown connection to both clubs....that player from last year that joined south mid season and still played a few weeks at CDFC....

i understand that this doesn't really effect many BLG side as you just dont clear from inside the league, but still CDFC still ask for all the BLG side to support their club... think the APFL side would be p#ssed with this.

Can someone confirm.

Can't confirm that but it used to happen a lot in the SANFL when a couple of certain blokes were coaching. They would point lads in the direction of a certain club under the same guise as you mention. Gets the lads jumpy and thinking, if I don't do as I'm told they''l flick me so in essence it's a scare tactic.

I think you have done pretty well Razzman. Though I cant agree that HWE are on the slide and are rebuilding. They have plenty of quality players that dont have an issue with the travel as this is their home club. Loosing Thomas may instill some responsibility in the group and they will get behind Jazz again and will always be competitive.
Balaklava - well have they got a coach yet??? The longer it takes to seal a coach in for 2010 the worse the outlook I beleive!!
United- have been around the mark for a long time and will always be around the mark. One thing with United is that you'll never get an easy game, I think 2010 will be the year of the Tiger resurgance!
Virginia- heads will roll, no I mean literally heads will roll if Phillips doesnt produce some silverware this year.
Hamley- I'm tipping them to push for finals spot but cant see it happening. I think it will take a year or two to get that winning culture back
Two Wells - theoretically should play in another GF, the big "if" factor for them is whether Lee Allmond has got what it takes to last a full season with the Eagles.
Mallala - will always be competitive and cant see a reason why they wont push for another GF berth.

My predictions at this stage:

Virginia
Two Wells
Mallala
United
HWE
Hamely
Balaklava
Robertstown
