Maggie got some news for you on the A and EH front, Hahndorf won easily yesterday after the pressure was right on early with Nairne needing 177 for victory and being 0/44 after the first week, Jaensch got the danger men out early, he got james may caught behind shane berkett bowled chris may Plum LBW, isaac czaban bowled, dunstall caught, ending with 5/12 for the day, michael NC phitzner ended with 3 wickets to bowl out Nairne for 114 in 25 overs, Hahndorf went in to bat after that and were off to a great start losing a there first wicket at 100 Greg Hassold for 77, and 20 runs later Young 17 year old Michael Higgs for 44. a great knock by the lad, and tim read was in next and lets just say he was packing up the kit.

All in all Maggie a great day for the Magpies, a great day to be apart of cricket.
Also one of the most pleasing things of the day was seeing Leon "Shrek" Maxwell drop a dolly at silly mid off, hes in my team but i love seeing him drop a catch or failing with the bat (Not in finals tho) HAHAHA

What on Hahndorf coming back to Hills cricket next year ??( rumour has it they have applied)
Great side back in late 80'searly 90's,then for some reason they just fell away, went to the easier competition and now they are strong again they want back.Be interesting to see what the Hill's committee do with Basket Range just coming up and Mylor being a force for the next ten years, cant have 12 teams in A grade.

The goal for Mylor is certainly A-grade in the next few seasons - maybe next year if things keep going as they are so far this season.

Yes, we realise there is a big step up required to compete with the big boys in the As - that's why we aren't rushing it. Pretty young team, don't forget. Still reckon the current side would go OK and would certainly win it's share of games.

And we do need a spinner - no doubt - Can't rely on big gay Al bowling sides out on his own in the As. Batting is almost there, but would be handy to have say, Tippett back to bolster it just a little further.

And it seems Mylor's B-grade form is rubbing off on their C-grade team too. Two wins and two 200+ scores in two weeks!

Perhaps a tilt at both flags???

fat al, the foreign legio comment was made by one of your players bud. dont you know who wolverine is. youd get the cooper brothers in that top 20 prob but no others. so i assume that means you and your brother.

GTS - you must be mistaking me for someone shorter. I'd say that if my brother was playing B's for us then we'd be in a heap of strife!

I do know who wolverine is... now.

Jeez, fatty...it's a bit early to be calling that!
Your C-grade was ratsh#t last year, have they improved THAT much? If so, good on them, but it would have to be a miraculous influx to make last year's team a flag force this year. Long season though with all the one-dayers.

Interesting to see Meadows make mince-meat of Mt Lofty, was expected but notice Rohan Reid and newcomer Matt Williams in the side ... Williams claimed 7 wickets, a Sturt district grade player by all accounts, so will be useful if he stays all season. Can expect Meadows to be up there again.
Wolver .. SCIBs are well renowned for crashing when it counts, not just HCA finals, but remember them allowing S. Dew and R. James to cane them in Courier Cup final. Probably lost count of how many ... easier to recall the winning ones (twice). Notice that young B. Pistola lad got a halfcentury in A -grade v Onkas, obviously Mylor are a world-class outfit seeing he failed to get off the mark against them in 2 digs, I believe.

Tommy Maz! Get back here!

Wrong FA!
Tommy "Muse" Maslin started his playing career at the Red Caps in the colts. He then had a brief and disturbing stint at Mylor, but had a big falling out with a few blokes over there. He then saw the light and returned to Lofty, were he is currently playing his best cricket.
I highly doubt you will ever see him pull on the creams for the Piping Shrieks again mate!

Tommy is a top lad - can't imagine him having a falling out with anyone. We did have a few Bridgy ring-ins for a couple of seasons who perhaps weren't comfortable with the Mylor "If you can stand up without falling over, then you can have a game" approach. Perhaps he fell out with them.

Well, they've left now, so Ginge - come on back!
