$HOE$ - looks like the $$$$$ are back out and the short term gain is back on the agenda. Difference etween top 8-10 players and the rest is too great to seriously contend. Will finish about 5th.

Welcome RFC,
So the $$ are back at the Shoe?
You obviously have no insight to the quality of youth at the Shoe that have taken every challenge to improve outside their comfort zone. I have said this time and time again the future of our football club will be OUR youth that are the backbone.

Recruit, yes we will identify weaknesses and address them. This is no different than any club in the comp including yours. Bayliss/Waire I suppose they play for nothing

The Noarlunga Footy Club has never been in better nick with sound admin/sponsors/members/and a vision to succeed in all grades. I could take it that you and many other clubs will be looking over your shoulder at the Shoe!!!

Thanks for the welcome, Shoe Boy.

Obviously, I don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Only time will tell whether my perception is correct.

I hope that the Shoes do push ahead with a youth policy. It looks like you started heading in the right direction this year.

Couldn't help but think with Mitton back on board and the rumoured recruitment of Matt Golding and others that the Shoes were falling into (bad) old habits. I hope for your sake I am wrong.

Agreed JB and Elijah aren't playing for nothing but I'm sure both could earn more elsewhere. JB jumped on board last year and loved the joint. That's why he stayed. Elijah was good mates with one of our senior guys and trained with us during the year. He got to know all of the lads well along the way and couldn't wait to slip on the black and white guernsey.

To be fair, I did say that the Shoes will finish about 5th. I don't think they can bridge the gap on the top 4 but they should leapfrog the rest.

I have heard a rumour that Blackwood may try to re-enter the SFL next year.

This will remove the bye, plus they have a full contigent of juniors.

G'day Vinney. Another new poster!

Interesting to hear about Blackwood.

I can't see how it would be a bad thing for Blackwood to enter the SFL. We need more quality teams at the top end. At the moment, the top 4 teams generally only get about 8 tougher games a year, plus finals. A team like Blackwood should see at least one more tough game added to the mix - and hopefully two.

If you were a Blackwood player, wouldn't you want to know by now what comp you were playing in next year?

From what I hear, Blackwood's AGM is tonight and it will be discussed.

The program has been released, which can be quite easily changed ( just add Blackwood in as the bye ), not sure about the juniors program though.

I would think that most of their players actually live closer to the SFL. Especially with Marion, BDOS, Morphie Park and
the Townies down the hill, those grounds would be closer to some of the places they play at now.

Vinney there have been a number of clubs inquiring re joining the SFL,

Blackwood has been 1 of the sides as has Plympton/Kangarilla/Flinders Park/SHOC the SFL this year put together a visionary statement for all clubs to view and give feedback for the future direction of the SFL.

2010 NO CHANCE OF Blackwood.

I can't see Blackwood coming across at such short notice.

At what stage of the year was the decision made for Edwardstown to join for the '09 season? I thought it was signed, sealed and delivered almost straight after the end of the '08 season. That gave Dave Evans enough time to recruit a half a dozen or so of Reynella's lesser lights (and ring about another 15 who told him to p*ss off) before we started November training.

Can't imagine Kangarilla coming back to the SFL. Big fish small pond syndrome. I think they still have nightmares about the last time they moved into Div 1!!!!!

Don't know about the others but I do like the thought of more QUALITY teams joining. More quality teams means more quality games means a stronger league.

In answer to your question MG the Mexican had his hands and testicles surgically removed after drinking two beers in 3 hours and developing severe alcohol poisoning causing irreparable damage. He also has heart problems and seems to struggle when put under scrutiny.

These are the reasons he has been absent and will likely continue to be.

Welcome RFC 2010. Good to see another fresh poster from Reynella after P32 made such an impressive debut in 2009. Might pay to keep your identity alot more guarded than P32 otherwise Early might apply the gag and this forum needs Reynella input, if for nothing more than us reminding you guys that its now 32 years since your last flag. Solid comments on teams chances in 2010. MV, Reynella and Cove will still be very hard to toss in 2010 and I'm intrigued about the In's and Out's at HV. Noarlunga are on the improve and Porties always find a way to bounce back from an average season. Townies will be a mystery with the Golding and other rumoured departures. By the way its Wayne Stringer not Alan who I understand has the B grade coaching job at HV. It went to press in our Messenger this week so I can officially declare that Brighton has recruited Nathan Twomey and Chad Norsworthy and Craig Statham has returned. No major departures, but because I know he reads this forum I should say that Randall 'Juice' Lindsay is a huge loss.

Thanks DTH.

I'm surprised nobody from Brighton responded to my first post sooner, given that I gave them a huge pump up! The listed inclusions will only help.

Don't worry, like Clark Kent, I will do my best to keep my true identity under wraps.

Interesting news on HV. Why would Stringer take a B grade job? Is that all he can command these days? Will Porter be anxious with Stringer snapping at his heels?
