Also hear they have signed Mclean from Gepps Cross.

That's news to me MM. C McLean is locked away at Ram Park.

Wrong McLean!

So is it his cousin Michael?
Didn't do much last year, appeared to be a bit out of his depth in Div 1 and a bit injuriy prone.
Don't get too excited, can't see him winning too many games for them.
Always behind the 8 ball

 :?

Put me down for a carton (Super Dry thanks) that Hamley won't make the finals Norm! My word is good so hopefully this is a serious bet and you're willing to pay.

PS: I hope you have deep pockets because I'm pretty sure me and UF won't be the only ones to wanna have a piece of this!

Toby Jugs would be a great signing for longies. Should dominate with his height around the ground, especially in september in the big games. Only played 2 good games in his career, when sturt and the power went top!

Confidence that your team will do well is one thing but to place a team that has been last by a long way the last couple of years so far ahead is another.

I'll have a carton of Pale along with everyone else if you like?

Balak last? we'll see, we can only have a crack with our young list and see how we go.

Hazbeen, heard that the peckers have signed Stuart Lamond as coach and already signed a couple of others along with him. Obviously playing your cards close to you chest or keeping it quiet and not throwing out comments like some others on here!!

by the way Norm11, I hope all the young guys that stuck it out with the club for the past how many years when things were struggling won't be put on the back burner now the club is spending money. I am all for recruiting players and spending money but needs to be a balance and also not a 1 or 2 year venture and then go back to where the club has been. Definitely hoping the Bombers improve this year and play finals but I would also like to see it made up of a balance with the young lads.

The young guys will still play a massive part in our season. I hope its not a 1 or 2 year venture either, we have been very selective with who we have taken on board. If your having a dig at me about throwing comments out then i think ur looking at the wrong person

Im with you norm11, Hamley will be the big improvers next year and should play finals. Sponga is a great choice to lead the bombers. Great bloke and even better coach. He goes about his stuff very proffesionally, seeing him at all the plains finals this year just after he was appointed as coach, shows how keen he is. His time at Barossa ended on a sour note, after giving so much to that club during there premiership years under occa and as a coach in his own right. The bloke loves to coach and with the talk of hamley being cashed up after a few season down the bottom of the ladder, theres no reason why Hamley can't climb up the ladder next season.
