Yeh mate, all jokes aside, i am starting to worry. Too many good people at Rooland who have worked hard to slowly get us out of the poo for this to happen. I know that clubs up the hill don't rate us much, but we are a proud group who will fight on. I suppose your mob and us remind me a bit like Norwood & Port. It does not matter how either side is travelling, we always pump up for our clashes. I think programming a Friday night game between us would be a massive win. Perhaps even a Past players function on the same night in your wonderful funtion rooms afterward would work as well.

Mate it's more than disappointing...  The club will never get off the bottom rungs of the ladder without a full pre-season from a committed core group of 25+ players. Don't know if some have other sporting commitments or are just lazy and are happy with mediocre to poor performance. Hence arguement for Div 1 Div 2 again. Make the Southern League the powerhouse it once was!!!!

Ithcykneez - welcome to the forum - yeah going okay the best thing is we still have $25,000 to spend on recruits! Very much an improved funding! We will wait and see I guess. But yes training numbers is extremely pleasing and the lads are all keen as hell to give next year a good shake.

No. Frahmy won't play again. It's a shame, he is very popular. Not just with Morphies.

Makes you sick that you say Marion STILL have $25,000 to spend on players, thats over 8K more than Flaggy spend on Players and Coaches combined in the past.

Not sure how much truth there is to your statement, but for someone in your position i guess it's true! Cause if the chief doesnt know whats going on with recruiting etc, then no one probably does!

Also can only imagine that with the number of players you have recruited and are aiming to recruit in the future that you will go well over your points allocation, how are these boys going to feel playing B Grade?

MR JUICY wrote:P32 I believe it is not just a new team that this applies to. The way I read the ruling is that you can hold any new player to your club for 2 or 3 years from changing to another SFL team if you wish. If the players have been at E/town for longer than that prior to entering the league then I think they are free game. BUT I think E/town or the club the player is coming from has the final decision to whether the transfer can be done or not. ;)

I confirmed with Secreary of SFL a couple of weeks ago that the 3 years of Senior Football ruling is available for use as a reason for "refusal to Clear" for Edwardstown senior players. This is because 2009 was the first year any of the Senior players were regustered with SFL. However it is up to Edwardstown whether they want to use it or not.

Isn't he like 36. Suprised he is leaving when he told me this year would finish up as he was too old.Decent enough player good leading forward and tucks a bit. Worries about his knees than the tap in ruck but

More of full forward/forward pocket i'd say. A great guy to have around the club and could teach the young fellas a thing or two. Doubt he'd leave the Saints in hurry tho. Unless your team has a sponsorship from advanced hair...

Reppoh_eht thanks for being the only Marlin silly enough out there to bite my lure I threw out in the forum ocean! We have recruited well thanks for acknowledging that also - smart recruiting has also grabbed numerous fellas that have played Marion juniors in the past so we are under our points allocation easily at this stage. If guys do play B grade then so be it as the only reason that would happen is if their form warrants it.

Tight Lines fella - I will now put you in my bucket and eat you later!
