I never really thought that W. Hand was that good. Didn't think he was a bad player, just not that good. But i didn't see every game he played. Reckon he might struggle in Barossa league where every week is tough opponent. He should just stay at Two Wells cos at least he can say he was part of the building process if they win a flag. Money isn't everything....

i here peter mcmillian is coaching two wells B grade this year very good pick up if true the man is so passionate about the game and has a very good footy brain little suprised he has not put in for the top job anywhere else cause i think clubs would jump at the chance for him to be a senior coach. i know he has been a assistant at centrals u16s and 18s for the last couple of years so comes with plenty of ideas you would think, will be a huge asset to two wells for sure. good luck pete.

mallala
hummocks
two wells
virginia
hamley
balak

lpp ill think youll find egg on your face about april next year and one on the head in september.

Why is that BenC?? What are your expectations of Hamley next year? Give us your version of the ladder.

Everyone associated with Hamley on the forum is doing plenty of talking, reminds me a bit of Virginia last year. I hope you make the finals and give it a shake next year for your sake!

True, people are pumping up our tires a bit to early but that doesnt mean alot on this forum as that is pretty much the majority of what happens on it.

At this stage all i can say is that we will certainly be more competitive than last year and that i envisage a minor round spot higher than 2nd to bottom. Finals is obviously a goal, it will be up to us to make it a realistic one and from the movements/ proceedings that have been exucuted by the new coach already i believe we wont be far from the mark.

My egg on the face comment was more directed at the comment made by LPP about 15 exposed positions. twas an uneducated rouge stab.

mate until you actually train and have a game your opinion is uneducated also

I just hope they have recruited blokes who will stay around for a while, and not paid them so much that they can only sustain it for one or two years. A few wins will be good to lift the moral around the club, can maybe see them beating Balak, but not much else (on a consistent basis anyway). They are coming from a long, long way back.

True! I just wonder though with all of these new blokes what's going to happen in season 2011 when all the recruits this year are still counted towards the points total? How many are they going to have to let go after a year?

Having said that it will be great to see them being much more competitive in the future though!

Good move for the young lad, atleast he wont have to buy new shorts and socks!

How would the feeling around the club be about that Jumbo? From what i've heard, he was a pretty popular & well liked bloke at Two Wells. I guess you can't blame blokes for leaving when offered more money but you hope its a signifcant amount more. Especially when he now has more travel & leaving when the Roosters are so close as mentioned above.

I don't know yet - find out tonight - they are having a pre-xmas run.

About all I know is that he was offered many times more than Two Wells were paying to go elsewhere (and it wasn't Eudunda) and I seriously doubt the Roosters would have matched those ridiculously high $s. Yea he was often doing the club-thing on Saturday nights, helping serve meals and was a genuine likeable type. Eudunda wont see him on the track unless they train in the city somewhere - he struggled to get to training at Two Wells - don't know how he would go having another hours drive but I'm sure he'll work that out with them.

A quick look over footy online see 50% of his goals against Hamley - not too many against Mallala !

had a look.. recall a particular game against mallala where he got half the score and moved into the middle at half time and ended up second best!! suggests maybe the midfield wasnt up to scratch against them and couldnt win the clearances to give the forwards an opportunity to put a score on the board..

Thomas was Forward pocket, and not a bad tally for that (6 goals off the winner), Sam Jericho had him "hands" down until he left mid year, and Joe Hunt for the second half of the year also, and thats just from my club!

Hardly the best full forward in the comp

The Mallee FL thread has Wally at Peake, signed. Although probably the 4th best full forward in the league :D will hurt 2wells. When asked of his move Wally advised "Peake have been good but said they really need a Hand up forward if they are to make an impact in 2010"

And i'd put him just behind Jamie McArdle from my club  Just kidding! Like i said, only saw him play a few times so my opinion could be a bit off.

Your kidding yourself......... dominated in the finals   he was barely seen in GF day when it counted. Maybe he should have went into the midfield that day too.

As for the game earlier in the year against Mallala, I dont think you could really read too much into a FF getting 2nd best in a team that lost by 15 goal!
