Great to see a young bloke who is passionate about our club go on to bigger and better things.

Adds to a pretty impressive list of Flaggy boys who have been drafted over the last couple of years. All would be pretty handy in our A grade squad!!

Also congrats to fellow 5159er Taite Silverlock who got drafted to the Dons, although hes a filthy Viking its still a great effort, have to say the list of quality players being picked up from the Flaggy Hill, Aberfoyle Park, Happy Valley area is quite impressive, would make a bloody good team.

What a great night to finish the pre season b4 the xmas break.

Last night was Fancy Dress and well done lads for embracing the night with everyone in costume. Spiderman/Indians/cricketers/netballers/and the odd mankeeney  we have some good shots and will post some crackers later.

The pre season programme has been tough but all have done the yards in good numbers and to finish with some fun was a litttle reward for the work.

So realistically, Marion equal 2nd best Agrade team of the decade.
Woohoo
realistically no.
according to PREMIERSHIP WINNING STATS, yes. realistically, no.

if i had the resources, i could work out finals apperances in both A's and B's, and i think apart from actual flags, i would say that playing finals is the next best indication of a clubs success.
I would have to disagree! These stats would show Morphett Vale 1, Noarlunga 2, Brighton 3 with cove and marion equal 4th. Reynellas 3 brides maid dresses not as good as 1 premiership! This is just done on the Grand final results. Because over 10 years Noarlunga and marion missing finals would drop them down a little!
Do you really think that? Considering there were actually 4 "bridesmaids dresses", three of these coimg to a very good team, in fact the team of the decade, which only lost one grand final in 6 attempts.

OK. One more time. I have not said Brighton are stealing our juniors, but that they have gone there of their on volition, BECAUSE their friends go there or that they now go to school with mates who play for Brighton. I applaud Brighton for making it's club better for juniors, and hope what we are doing at the current moment can emulate Brightons structure. I know Morphies & Brighton have a proud history, in fact the first game i ever watched was the 1986 grand final at the Bay oval between the 2, when Youngy was coaching & Brad Messcke, our best ever player was smashed at the first bounce. That's why i chose MPFC as my home & have never left. I am not on this forum to bag ANY club whatsoever, except sometimes i need to answer silly blogs that paint MPFC in a negative way. Once more i will say it, MPFC will be a powerhouse in the SFL! When? I cannot tell you, except to say I wiil be there & enjoying every minute of it.

Yeah I really think that! Never seen a runner up medal in the SFL. or Tattoo. Would never say Im a 4 times runner up premiership player! But would be proud to say I was a premiership player!

no one would defend that 2nd best is good enough, it surely isnt, we all know that. p32 wasnt suggesting this. when you look at club consistancy and depth club wide, reynella would be right up the top (over the last decade), you could not debate this. Should a club be judged purely on it;s A grade? and if it is like that, reynella are the only club who have consistantly challenged M.vale during the season and in finals over the last 5 years. it's my opinion and im sure most of you wont agree

MV have been streets ahead of the rest - period

My top 5 CLUBS of the decade would be: (taking in account seniors and juniors)

Emus
Flies
Bombers
Happyvalley
pt norlunga / noarlunga / cove (can't decide)

taking into account that is off the top of my head without studying stats.

Sick of people having a go at mpfc? Well i'm sick of people saying Brighton have the schools around them, friends drag friends, young area its all crap. They created a quality environment many years ago and got a good structure going with good people and left the neighbours behind. Also thanks moe for the best laugh in weeks on this forum. I'm sorry to inform you mpfc will not become a powerhouse in the sfl. A powerhouse is a club that goes deep into finals in all grades on a consistant basis and you guys are well of that.

Well you blokes seem to be including GF appearances in your debate, which contradicts your discussions. Your talking about the team of the decade and who is next etc., then you do need to look at not only the winners but the clubs who compete in those GF's, which Reynella have competed in a few of them, as well as Noarlunga. To win one from one like Cove did is exceptional especially against M/V, but to say they have been the better team over the decade might be a bit of an overstatement. That's like saying Robert Harvey wasn't a very good player because he never won a GF, or Gary Ablett was crap and shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame because he never won a GF???
You still need to be good enough to make a GF and I bet there were 13 other teams last season that would have still liked to be in Reynella's shoes...at least up until about 15 minutes to go in the 4th!!! ;)
