The rain obviously brought every other player back to his pace, quite slow! ;) What will it take to "get him going"?

sorry ace i should've worded it better. as you would know a tall player in the wet normally would struggle but he played like it a dry day - kicked 5 or 6. if the rumours are true about his pay then i think that might be enough motivation!

If the money is what I understand to be as was offered by Barmera, it's overpriced to buggery!

Less than what Barmera offered apparently

You all seem to know figures on Christofis so why don't you let everyone know. What was offered at Barmera? What is considerably less than what Barmera offered. The anonimity of forums let you get away with stuff like that so fess up!

Also, is it just me, but does every new forward to a club get described as lazy? Sounds like alot of jealous backmen around!

just a lot of stirrers really - on another forum you will read the "sad" stories of these players leaving certain clubs and the stirrers grizzling about it - jealous backmen maybe, but yea definitely jealous .....

I am also tipping Christofis wasn't recruited to win the 100m dash but to fill a specific shortcoming in the side .

From what I am reading on here, I am not sure as to what the specific shortcoming may be Jumbo. Admittedly i know nothing about the bloke, but from other comments on here, the specific shortcoming could be either
Highest paid player?
Heaviest?
Slowest?
What type of player is he Jumbo? The name Christofis doesnt ring too many bells. Obviously a forward if he's replacing the big Wal

The big fella can play he single handly demolished us (Modbury) on numerous times a few years back and if he has been on the track then very handy. Tall marking CHF that can kick straight...... a great pick up for a team needing a KPP

Thats my un biased opinion anyway... i think the last few seasons his interest and commitment may have been less than desirable but if he has been on the track and interested then he will be more than handy

don't know about the highest paid or the heaviest or slowest but he a solid man recruited to fill the key forward role, i.e. replace Wally. I know he was a key in Pt Districts Div 1 side past few seasons - played mainly up forward with some time in defence. Like I said a few posts back - he wasn't recruited to win foot races but to play that key role up forward and the reports of the 4 sessions he has attended he is in good knick.

How does $400 sound? We'll start with that anyway. Whatever it is, and this is very close, he's not worth that money!

It's a bit like the Corey AhChee Eudunda deal, $8K to sign, $1500.00 a game. Beat that! What club in their right mind would pay that???

Nope. I'd say very highly unlikely. Hasn't been seen around the place and that's a fair feat in itself !!!
