I'm going to do my best to stop you from making it. See how we go, we are confident as sides dont normally score that many runs against us and I have been in some good form lately and the other bowlers ahve been bowling extremely well as well, but as in any game of cricket you never know. Am looking foward to Saturday, nice oval there at Hope Valley too, in my 10 years playing A grade for AHOS I have never had the opporutnity to play there til last week. Is a nice ground. See ya out there Saturday Azza.v What number you coming in at?

Yes , it is the best the ground has looked for ages, will be in the next two to come in, have to stop in after for a beer rainbow

Good luck Azza, a big chase required

Cheers mate, hopefully we can give it a good shake, never know , cricket is a funny game

Looks like a really tight A Grade comp this year. Nearly anyone can still make the 4 and relegation is still open to a few sides. Good for the competition really.

Sounds good mate. Would have been nice to see you there Wednesday nig, I ended up doing a fair stint at square leg which was good.

This all sounds very cosy...
Don't get hit in the pads by RW when PUNTER is officiating......

Having been an opening bat it's got to be pretty plum before I will give an LBW.

Umpiring for me is like playing when you cross that white line you have no mates or ties to anyone until stumps is called.

any danger of passing on your wisdom to some of your colleagues????? ABSOLUTE SHOCKER given against myself in ROCS V Goodwood. Lefty bowling down leg-side and being a lefty myself I don't even bother appealing for these. Yet this clown has forgotten the pitching outside leg rule and fired me

You guys batted well on the weekend Azza, jsut the sheer weight of runs you were chasing got to you guys in the end and some good bowling by Oz and Dolly. Looked for you after the game for a beer mate, had one with Sykes but then had to duck off.

Catchit will be happy to hear I bowled diabolically and put in a disgaceful effort. The win was what we were after however and we got it so cant be happier.

Have to agree with this, never easy getting a lbw out of Punter. Very good umpire however.

So closing in on finals time who do people think will win each grade. Normally only the A Grades get commented on with a question like this but what about the lower grades?

Will stick to the higher grades here and would love to say AHOS will pull off another late season come back to take out A1 but realistically the odds are strongly against us. Pulteney are too good a team to not win A1 sooner or later, would want to make it sooner though as how much longer can they keep all of their stars on the field? PAOC have to be the favourites at this stage, especially if Elliott keeps playing.
A2 - Walkerville and Flinders Park could push Reynella, would think the 2 going up to A1 next season would def be out of these three.

I'll take the bait as I always do. People will be happy to hear my grand total of 1 wickets in 2 games is testament to cricket karma and should never take good form for granted.

Have to agree with the A1's - Pulteney & PAOC definately the form sides and hard to go past. A2's however Reynella vs Walkerville next round could determine minor premiers, Walkerville must be hopeful of securing an outright this week defending 400 + and Reynella I have on good authority will be looking to make a game of it this weekend after securing 1st Inn points against Gepps. Flinders Park will be around the mark and i'll throw a smokey in for the final spot in the 4, Ingle Farm and dont be surprised if they give it a good crack if they do make it...
