Is he the young lad just back into footy that's 6'10"? He was a very good junior if it's him.

Re: SAAFL Div 1 & 1R (2010)
gaza would be on track at the moment to finish about where they were last year. have lost a couple, but most others seem to be going round again. have picked up a couple of handy on ballers that the coach bought with him. still a bit of time to recruit, so i wouldn't be writing anyone off yet. the old dogs in merritt, ramsey, haythorpe and saddler have definitely got one more good season left in their legs and will lead the team well (sorry to put you in that "old dogs" category sads, but you're around that mark
)

As last x amount of years, the big question will be their forwards. Mason travelling overseas, Brewer doing well at North Adelaide does not leave a lot of goal kickers or height up forward for a team already known to struggle to kick a lot of goals. Strong in other positions. Hope they can work it out and have a good season.
Not to mention their CHB as well, hey Macca???
Can't remember their CHB ever kicking a goal Pacman? lol

From the games i saw of yours last year, it is going to be a very exciting year as a spectator if the standard is the same. Good footy to watch.
I read somewhere recently that your oval may not be able to be used in the early rounds due to water issues. Any update on that info Shirt front?
Changing the irrigation at the moment was the news from the council i heard, i believe the boys were not allowed to train on it til now, i think they are back there tonight so i'd say it should be ok come Round 1.
Shirtfront, I recently heard that a young ex Trinity Old Scholar & Norwood Junior Locky Warner was training at Broadies this year, if so how is he going out there and is he a chance of playing A's for the tigers?? He was by far one of the fittest blokes as a Norwood junior that i saw out there
Asked around, seems your spot on, has been in top group for all running and fitness trials etc, has got good skills to they tell me so you'd think he'll be in the mix. Midfield group seems pretty strong again so spots are gonna go to the guys who impress in trial games.

I read somewhere recently that Gaza were forced to sell their pokies. That is untrue as i still hear the bells and whistles every thursday. They look fairly sharp and keen under new coach Nathan Grainger. Talking to some of their A grade last night they said "real keen to put 09 behind them and have a red hot crack in 2010 with the likelyhood of giving the finals a real shake up". They are getting good numbers on the track.
The only thing i can confirm re: SHOC is, that both Floreani brothers recently tested positive to an anabolic hair steriod. No suspensions will be put in place as the follical assistance is deemed to have failed on young David.
is that ex Mt lofty coach Nathan Grainger if so did very well up in the hills and from memory has spent the last few years at westies coaching u18s so would still have some good contacts ??

From memory probably played as many b grade games at salis nth than he did a's! didn't think he would be able to demand a lot of money

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Ex Pt Dist player Ryan Kelly who was shopping himself around ALL GRADES as high as Div4 has now settled with guess who??? $Henley$
The word is from Ryan himself is he settled for less money than he was getting at Districts as he didn't want to be the stand out player & get tagged every week.

Oh wow, another bloke that has previously played for the club has returned. Yeah must be cash, not the fact his brother plays there, nor that he played junior footy at Henley or no way could it be that he simply wants to play finals footy with a team that should be around the mark again instead of cellar dwelling? Couldn't be, must be the cash!

No Mercy, your constant "rambling" about Henley really does get a tad monotonous..

Just for the record, it was never stated "Gaza were forced to sell their pokies"!
What was stated was "Gaza had decided/offered to turn their pokies in (which is possible for anyone with them to do) to Clubs SA and would receive a payment for them plus an annual dividend payable for each machine".
This will happen once Clubs SA can place these machines in a NEW venue, as other venue poker machine numbers are capped, they can only be placed into a new establishment, not an existing one.
