Absolute rubbish. Terrible comment. There has always been and always be enough players to field a side for every team in every grade. No exception. Players, for what ever reason, are generally drawn to the more successful clubs.
Your M/vale hawks and Cove Lions would have enough players for 5 senior sides each.
It is even worse in juniors.
Hackham have a full compliment of colts and m/vale usually have two per grade. In your option, the M/vale hawks would field three sides in the u/14's, u/16's, and 2 or 3 in the u/18's? Or are you proposing that they travel to where exactly to get a game? These kids will leave to join other sports.
The lions apparently will have a u/14's side and Cove will likely have two side. That makes three u/14's for the Cove Lions. If there u/14's lead on to u/16', and it is a big if, it will track the same as your m/vale hawks.
Shows a complete lack of foresight
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.
