The guy does have talent but I get the impression that he is lazy. Did pull off some key defensive stops on Tim Duncan in the deciding game of the series against the Spurs.

Mavs up 1-0 against Heat.

I don't really care who wins, I was just glad these 2 teams made it as neither has won before.
Probably leaning towards Miami as I always prefer the teams from the East but Dirk N is a great player who I've always enjoyed too.

Game 2 Dallas 99-85, Shaq played terribly,5 pts 6 rebs. Nowitzki killed him with 26 pts 16 rebs.
And the final scoreline flattered the Heat as they trailed by as much as 25 pts during the third quarter.
Mavericks in control and will win this in 5.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

So 'The Big Aristotle' is looking at losing his third finals series.

Bring it home Dirk Diggler!

Just so we can see Cuban's reaction...

Just bought a book called "The final comeback" and it's about Michael Jordan's comeback in the 2001-02 season for the Washington Wizards. Haven't finished it yet but it's interesting that very early on that it explains that between Jordan's second retirement in June '98 and his comeback announcement 3 years later that he did very little excercise and was actually a fair amount overweight and he pushed himself so hard to be fit by the start of that season that his 38 year old body couldn't handle the workload and that excaserbated his injury problems during his 2 years with the Wizards. Has probably harmed his legacy but would have acquitted himself much better with the Wizards had he kept himself in decent shape during his three years off.

Game 5
Miami....101
Dallas...100

Wade drops a cool 43.

Shaq now just one win away from his fourth title.

However, the next two games are in Dallas...

Come on Mavs!

Some interesting developments in the limited time since the season finished.............

Detroit Piston Center Ben Wallace has signed a massive deal with the Chicago Bulls.
Dwayne Wade has signed a massive contract with the Heat.
A Spaniard was taken with the first pick in the draft. I haven't followed the prospecs much recently but I got the impression that this was one of the weakest drafts in recent years. I guess the coming seasons will determine whether this is the case.
Lebron James still hasn't resigned with the Cavaliers - Is this cause for concern or just a case of Lebron making sure the Cavs realise his real worth? On a side issue, I wonder why Larry Hughes signed with the Cavs before last season given his breakout season with Gilbert Arenas and the Wizards the season before?
Am hearing that Kevin Garnett may be pondering going elsewhere.

They've been rebuilding since Larry, Kevin and The Chief left.

Interesting situation with the Knicks and the departure of Larry Brown.
Despite whatever faults Brown may have, he would have had to put up with a lot in dealing with Stephon Marbury and in particular, Isiah Thomas. Can't see too many prospective candidates wanting to coach the Knicks when they know that they have to deal with Thomas.
Gilbert Arenas of the Wizards has started off the season on fire. Going well for a player that wasn't that highly rated coming out of college.
Great fallaway buzzer beater by Hedo Turkoglu to win a game for the Orlando Magic the other night and another one from Delonte West of the Celtics this morning.

Nice one Jimmy.
Robinsons' only 5'9!!!
Have seen a couple recently where a player was blocked while attempting a dunk but that one would have to be at the top considering Ming is 7'6 and is having a career year.

How about 5'3 Muggsy Bogues on Pat Ewing, mid-90s?

Wasn't just a block.

It was the swat team!

11-1 at the moment and scoring at a clip (108ppg) that I doubt they ever would have during Jerry Sloan's coaching tenure.
Carlos Boozer is averaging 20-10, the largely unknown second year point guard Deron Williams is averaging 18 points and 9 assists, you have two "do everything", versatile players in Andrei Kirilenko and Mehmet Okur, Sloan is apparently raving about rookie second round draft choice Paul Millsapp, who is averaging 10 pts, 6 rebs and 2 blocked shots in only 22 minutes a game during his last seven games and solid backup production from veterans Matt Harpring and Derek Fisher.
New Orleans/Oklahoma City and Orlando are the other early season surprises for mine.
Interesting that the Bulls and in particular Ben Wallace are off to slow starts. Wallace appears to be solid enough but given the massive four year deal he signed to join them, the Bulls would be expecting more.
