Na Smithy's ankle is fritzed i belive, Shame will miss his hardness. Played CLG we won by around 5 goals with 27 points kicked. OK for a first hitout. Elliot King from the bay was the standout a very good pick up late. Yep the twistie cup will be alive and well for sure.

Tjiango Thomas Kenilworth Southern Football League

Reasonable junior at M/Parks and Brighton. Brother of Nani Thomas, so should be able to play a bit.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

hmmm. Shaun Morris played most of his junior footy days at Morphy Parks with the last few at M-vale. I am reasonably sure that he has played all of his cricket at m-parks.

Not exactly a true blue emu. More like a true blue roo

I didn't say anything about true blue. Shaun is an ex emu weather you like it or not.
Shaun will be a better player for the experience

Anyway, I can't find any of these names yet, the SFL clearance sites need to update. 8)

yeah, i'm pretty sure Nate spent some time in the Magpies reserves when he was younger. Played C's for us last year & dominated. With a touch of fitness would be a great pick up as he has all the skills.

Say if morphett vale were playing cove in the a and b grade at morphett vale you then would have the c grade play at cove. Gives the chance for the club to open and take a little bit of coin. If you had it start at the A grade time it could be possible for a ump from an earlier game to umpire it. I believe you would attract more people to the c grade games over time aswell as giving supporters to watch footy at the home ground most week.

Who is going to want to cook a BBQ/canteen or run a bar while the A grade are playing elswhere. 'C' is a bit of a fun comp. As a club we want people to come along a support the 'A' grade and all teams playing Saturday. Then on Sunday have quiet beer watching the C grade run around.

I agree Vics, If you play C grade on a Saturday it will die a very quick death with no helpers for trainers, runner, waterboy, boundry etc. all c grade teams struggle with this already never mind if it was against an A or B grade match. Sunday as it has been is the best, if teams cant fill a side it si due to lack of numbers for the club not due to the day it is played.

I never said to put the full bbq thing on but im sure one person can stand behind a bar and serve the odd beer or two. if you take an extra $300 on that day its $300 you didnt have at the start of the day. Your spot on vic01 to many people want to sit back and have a beer and watch the c grade run around on a sunday instead of helping the people who give up their sunday arvo to get the team out on the park. You say its a fun comp maybe in the old days it was but it has moved on from that just look at the finals last year. It actually means more now.
Slammer tell me why it would be so hard to get runner, waterboy etc etc. There are many clubs in the amateur league that can achieve it. I happen to come from a club that achieved it and it was thru great support from true supporters of the club. You would be supprised how people react to helping out a lower grade when its not on a sunday.
Club need to have a look at it closely because its a win win situation. Your club becomes tighter, turnover on a sat night goes up, you will attract more players, you can set up better structure thru the senior sides, and most of all the standard of footy will improve which will lead to a better comp thru out all senior grades. Take the time out and speak to a club in the amateur leage that has c grade and ask them why they wouldnt want to prefer to play on a sunday.
