Was pretty scrappy but u probably expect that from a 1st up hit out. Good to see Luke Pastyn back out there after a long layoff. We know come games for points that Henly will be neck and neck with Goodies for the benchmarks. Cheers also to Gepps for the use of the facilities. Special mention to the showers in the home changeroom.. GOLD! Noticed a few interested onlookers from other clubs. Gonna be an interesting yr.
How did Valor Thach go? Afew boys went down to see how he went and from what was reported he played ok? Interesting to see how he goes in Div 1 this year.
He went quite well for someone who had played 3 quarters in the game prior.. Looking good upon his step up
I wish him all the best. But hope he doesnt do too well, so we can have him back for next season

Looks really good on the track, did nearly the whole pre-season with the boys. Didn't play in the internal Gepps had but will be playing in the up-coming trials over the next couple of weeks.
Broadview V Uraidla tomorrow B's from 12, A's from 2. Had a good crowd last year in the same game, good standard too. Can't wait to see the first hit out of the year. Only 3 more weeeks!!
how are the old district lads looking this year? i noticed only 8 of us voted them for the flag although this does not surprise i havnt even been down the club since the good old days hope things improve soon
So there is some truth to the dean cutting story it appears he has had enough and has taken some time away to figure out if he wants to play footy or not and no its not a problem with the hawks he just wants some time to think would be a major loss for the club i hope the time away does him well
can anyone fill us in on the trial game results for today? Payneham and Gepps played with gepps getting over the line by 2 goals. Payneham had a few out, and i think gepps had a couple out as well. looks like its gonna be a log jam from 3 down to 10. just like last year it seems. Ace, you happy with how the game went?

Wow, for Unions to push a set div 1 side is promising.. I know its only a trial but trials give good signs in many aspects!!!

BOP, a typical trial game with lots of different positions etc tried but overall, I think there were enough good signs from both clubs to be optimistic about the season. Gepps had probably 3 or 4 first choice A grade players unavailable, not sure about PNU but the real pleasing outcome was that of the B grade. A team full of kids incl 4 under 18 lads won by around 25 goals, how they stack up against other clubs we'll find out in time but talking to a few others as I didn't see the game, everyone was rapt in the way the kids played. You can't beat enthusiasm from young blokes.

Broadview beat Uraidla by 5 goal, we had bout 5-6 quality A graders out or just playing a couple quarters, Uraidla the same i think. Promising for the B grade though, the young fella's got up by bout 6 goal. Be surprised if Uraidla don't play off for the flag again up there, quality midfield.

Districts led henley 8goals to 5 at half time. From then on it henley kicked away and won comfortably despite still having around 8 first choice players out. Watching from the sidelines I was really impressed with districts first half they were so intense and moved the ball quickly. If they can sustain that for a whole game they'll be tough to beat!!
