yeah, i'm pretty sure Nate spent some time in the Magpies reserves when he was younger. Played C's for us last year & dominated. With a touch of fitness would be a great pick up as he has all the skills.

Yeah he did spend some time at the maggies. Why was he only playing c's out there? also do you know where he is playing in the SFL?

He was only playing C's because I think he only wanted to play C's. I'm pretty sure the idea of playing b's (or higher) was put to him, but he wasn't overly keen.
I don't know what club he's going too, I could guess, but I shouldn't start something like that.

I here that the sharks are really struggling with numbers after the meeting the other week.

It is time that the SFL made the hard decisions. The clubs that have Sunday 14's and 16's have to prove they have the numbers to field sides.

Now that the emotion has died, it is time the SFL made the Sharks prove they have the numbers to field A, B and 18's. This should be done before the season turns into a farce when the sharks can't field a side and 2 teams are have a bye.

It is time the SFL showed some balls and ensure that this year does not turn into a a joke.

Somehow, I think they don't have the balls.

RAP

Bit harsh the SFL is apparently working very hard to consolidate Aldinga's future. Aldinga are working very hard to stay viable. Are you asking the SFL to cut a team from the comp?

I guess if the worst happended we would have 2 bye's each week (which wouldnt look very good) and teams drawn to play Aldinga would get given 10 goal wins. I admit this would create a problem with the uneven draw and some getting 2 bites at the cherry and some one.

All in all though the SFL are very professional and I am sure have a contingency plan in place. Maybe they should let the clubs know what it is.

I guess this situation supports the 2 DVISIONS theory[/quote] or eventually some clubs will fold.

Happened in 1976 when McLaren Vale started the season and then pulled their A-Grade, playing with only their B-Grade team. Recovered for the following season but this was one of the motivators towards moving to two divisions.

I'm sure they could provide 60 seniors names that are still registered for the Sharks or do you want 45 signed letters. Unfortunately with the lower clubs, a few people take the easy option and rock up to training the Thursday before round 1 knowing they will get a game. They should be right even if a few 18's play B's

The problem will not be in the first few games when players are keen. It will be when injuries take their toll on some and beltings affect morale. I hope for everyones sake that Aldinga have more than the bare minimum to start with.
