APFL All Stars Dream Team Code is - 163805

There are still some spots left so if anyone is playing Dream Team this year and wants to be in a league or has a spare league use the above code. Better to have people you know or sort of know in there than it to be filled by some randoms.

This is an open invite to fill the league, but it must be done by today. Still waiting for Ace and Drop Bear to sign up so I can give you both a flogging! :D

Will be interesting to see how the north clare v mallala trial game goes...

If both teams are at full strength then it will be a good indication of the standard of the leagues...

All I am saying is that if both teams were at full strength it would have been good to see how last years premiers of the APFL went against a team just out of the four in the NEFL. Association matches do not give a true indication of the leagues IMO, given that you are playing the best 22 against one another (supposedly)... a true test of a competition is depth, and furthermore how teams from certain sectors of the ladder last year fare against one another.

Balaklava played Kadina on Friday night in a 6 qtr game.

I am unaware of the final score but in the purely A-Grade portion of the game Balak would of come out on top. Good performance from the Peckers who were missing Catford, L.Evans, J.Evans, V.Taylor and McLean. Will be a good side on a dry day with 5 to 6 players 6ft4 or above. New players all showed they will be up to APFL standard. 2nd half of the game was a bit of a farce with Kadina only having 26 or so on the night so 4 or 5 Balak players (out of our 34) swapped jumpers for the last couple of quarters to keep the game going.

Heard Mallala got smashed by North Clare with Propokec kicking 10 or so, any reports?

I went and had a look at this and yes Balak did look good. Very young but I think they will surprise a few this year for sure.

We played Southern Eagles yesterday. Was a pretty good hit out played in good spirits. It was pretty even but I think the scoreboard showed we lost the A Grade portion by about a goal. Yorketown oval was in very good knick and I think teams in the YPFL will enjoy playing there this year!

I heard that another recruit did a knee on the weekend. No luck for the Bombers and by my count thats 3 knees already this year. :( Was looking forward to them putting up a good show this year but that is very hard luck to take. Hopefully its not as bad as it appears and they can get another 1 or 2 late recruits. This really would be devastating for any club, but for one on the rise its not good. :(
