Shoes named a squad of 23 and Bombers a squad of 24 so team sheets were created with all names. Team Manager then crosses out who doesn't play and Home club enters data including removing players who didn't play. SFL have arranged for system to upload at around 5.45pm after play but this is very tight deadline and obvioulsy 3 of the clubs had issues getting this information ready by then. Put it down to first game jitters. Hence why Round Summary on website does not have goals and best players for Brighton and no scores for other game. SFL need to do another upload and it will be rectified.

I haven't got his paperwork yet Cadet, but if it's true, sounds like a good pick up :)

Had been offered to a few other clubs, not sure if his terms are as originally stated but will cost a dollar or more to fly him back & forth each week from Darwin.

Has Gary Karpany been cleared to Porties? Last I saw his clearance was denied.

Morgan did play in Glenelg U19s team in 2009. Missed finals thru a work injury near end of season.

Adam Stone's transfer was denied (option to refuse clearance to another SFL club if a junior player hasn't given 3 years of Senior service to his former club)

That's a bit rough if they denied a clearance due to that fact.
You end up losing players to different leagues.
Unless they owe money, no clearance should be denied.

People who don't know shite - should wipe it from their eyes when making comments:
Marion have allowed Alex Dorman to go to Hallet Cove - could of used the same ruling BUT didn't
Ben Bowers to Hallet Cove - could of done the same again but did not.
Another young lad to Flagstaff Hill - name escapes me but we let him go
Some more but who cares - don't know why I am bothering answering you - you're better making comments without knowing.

Before you answer helmet - The lad from Tailem is playing at Tailem by the looks.
Have a good day and I hope we & Flagstaff can come to some agreement as you're right it will only make him leave the league and never head back to F/Staff anyway.

Mr Juicy

Marion initially held up Bowers clearence invoking the 3 year rule, even though he had played all his junior footy at Cove bar 1 year, that being last year. That is a cheap shot.

They were threatened him that they would enforce that rule to hold him even though he did not want to play or talk to Marion.

who is Ben Bowers? No offense to the bloke, but I really have never heard of him :-k

Alex Dorman was disappointing to lose as we all took him under our wing and exposed him to A grade football.
Especially a bloke like Brad Smith who helped him alot.
Then he up and left.

Obviuosly we heard the 'promises' that were put out there for him, let's hope for his sake he gets 18 A grade games under his belt this year like he would have at Marion.

Let's get it right - All we wanted to do was speak to Ben and find out his reasons - which any club would do with a juniour - bit hard to do when he wouldn't answer phone calls - anyway you blokes brought him down to training and we chatted and he told me he wants to play with more of his mates from Cove - no problems with that and it was cleared then next day or so.
Any club would have done it - you just do not let juniors go without having a yarn first.
Unfortunately it took for him to get brought to training for us to do this.
Anyway play on - I know he played juniors with you lads first - we just wanted to talk to him - which is not odd at all.

This is not the ARMY we should have no right over any player unless a contract has been signed. Things like moving house, friends at other clubs ,better ops why would you as a club hold a player back if he no longer wants to play at your club stop being so competitive and smell whats on your boots.
