Probably irrelavent, the fact is it was awarded and he missed the lot. There is always going to be contraversial calls in games but for what its worth IMO there was a free kick there even if there wasn't much in it.

Most importantly was the score board correct when the siren sounded?

We take for granted the old score board but we all refer to it during the day.

Morgan did play in Glenelg U19s team in 2009. Missed finals thru a work injury near end of season.

Adam Stone's transfer was denied (option to refuse clearance to another SFL club if a junior player hasn't given 3 years of Senior service to his former club)

That's a bit rough if they denied a clearance due to that fact.
You end up losing players to different leagues.
Unless they owe money, no clearance should be denied.

The SFL rule is there to protect lower clubs from losing players they have developed from juniors thru to A Grade.
Adam has played Seniors for the past 2 seasons, is considered an A Grade footballer when he trains, but he sent thru a transfer request without speaking to the A Grade/Club Coach.
If after consultation with Rama, Adam still wants to go, then it may be re-considered.

One that comes to mind for me from Marion was black sorry can't remember his first name. Wanted to move from rams to bombers and was held by the rule and had to play at victor for 3 years until he could be cleared to play at another sfl club. Another one that comes to mind is Christies did it to neil reeves a few years back he tried to go to lonsdale and they withheld him and he went on and played about 2 further years with beach before he left to victor also. I don't believe in the rule but I do see why it's in place but if someone wants to leave so be it.

This may of happened in the past at many clubs not all but some due to knob heads within each club including mine who think they are owed by certian players when will people learn that if a club is known for this then the likely hood of having reduced numbers if from that not the one or two that get away.

I assume you are talking about Josh Black? Tall lad with frizzy hair?
How long has this rule been in place by SFL?

Aparently a few boys from Goody saints have made the transition. Although speaking to a mate who watched their trial on the w/e and a few struggled to get a kick
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

The first full round and my tips.

Cove V Aldinga- Have Aldinga improved or are they going backwards? Maybe Dave will save the day?

Flagies V Brighton- Brighton to be the big improver of the year!

H/Valley V Hackham- Them ex shoe boys will ask why?

M/Vale V Marion- Have Marion improved? Will there B get flogged? have they depth?

M/Park V Townies- Both have lost plenty of players from 09 but Townies for me in a close one.

Lonsdale V Noarlunga-Shoes to keep improving.

Porties V Reynella- Reynella in a good contest as Porties always have a crack on their home deck.

Good luck to all.

My Tips:

Cove over Aldinga - Hopefully a competitive effort from the Sharks but Cove too good
Brighton over Flaggies - Brighton should be dominant in this game after a good hard contest last week and Flaggies first up
Happy Valley over Hackham - Vikings should do this one easy but again hopefully a competitive effort from the hawks
Marion over M/Vale - Just because, not biased at all!
Edwardstown ove M/Ville Pk - Be interesting to see this result going with Townies due to their depth - but could go either way
Noarlunga over Lonsdale - Could be a good game but going with ths Shoes by 5 goals with their recruits and effort last week
Reynella over Porties - Reynella too many talls for Pt Nourlunga and expect them to win easy

Good Luck All

Cove V Aldinga- Cove by 20 goals plus. Sorry Brad

Flaggies V Brighton- Flaggies' young guys generally start the year full of promise but still won't get within 10 goals of Bombers

H/Valley V Hackham- Valley by 25 goals

M/Vale V Marion- Guarantee this will be a much better contest than the last time these teams met. I say MV but only by 6 goals

M/Park V Townies- Townies by about 6 goals. Agree they have both lost plenty but would have thought Towns have the depth to cover their losses better than MP

Lonsdale V Noarlunga - Lonsdale a bit like Flaggies in terms of excitement at the start of a year but Shoes will be too good and will get up by about 10 goals

Porties V Reynella- Not sure what to make of Porties. VERY QUIET on the forum. Still, I pick RFC by 15 goals

Cove v Aldinga
Flaggies v Brighton
Valley v Hackham
Morphett Vale v Marion
Morphy Park v Townies
Lonsdale v Shoes
Porties v Reynella

And for what it's worth, I think every losing team this weekend is going to get thrashed with the possible exception of Edwardstown.
