I have read alot on this forum lately, but not responded, due to the fact that a) have been wayyyyyyyy too busy with my new job & b) i let my own lofty standards slip about 7 weeks ago against the Ramblers.
Let me start by apologising to the Ramblers captain JC for my remarks after our game in round 10. If i had your number i would ring up personally. Secondly, on the debate about grand finals & double chances, well, i believe that the way we have it now is perfect. Life is unpredictable, & so is the weather.
Thirdly, all the banter about the section 4 semi between MPCC & SPCC needs to be put into context. There were at least 15 acts of bad sportsmanship in that game, with probably 8 of them from the Crichton family. Our club does not condone certain behaviour, but even the Moeman would have found it hard to keep it within himself if he copped that crap. Well done Heath for keeping your cool mate. Yes it is a mans game, but give me that mouthful on the street & see if you leave with all your teeth.
Lastly, to OSCR (I think). South Road showed MPCC massive dissrespect last season in the T20 match at Edwardstown by sending out an umpire who had been cooking the BBQ & drinking all arvo when the score was 6/20. He promptly gave the worst "not out" decision in history and was sent off. This year you could not even front up with a side for the comp. MPCC might have a bad rep for alot of things, but IMO your club is a joke, & i will take it on personally to build a rivalry between us equalling that of Manchester United & Manchester City. Having said that, I hope you end up in Div 2 next year for showing contempt to the league by not going to meetings.

Unfortunately for you Moe they might not end up in Section 2. it depends on what Westminster does and if they switch over to Adelaide turf next season.

Lourens came 2nd i believe with 14 and Hoppy with 12.
4 people tied on 11 with Heath being one of them
But where is Bruce??? JB said he was going to win
He did say that after a semi final performance which was great by Bruce. However you dont get votes for that JB
Quite funny how JB wrote that about Bruce on here, then told Brucey to check it out via his facebook wall, when after Bruce demolished us with the ball, i was out with JB that night and he was telling me and the other youth centre boys just how carp he was and how he shouldnt even be playing section 1.
PS: we could be JB-less for a while as he flew out to England this morning for 6 months to have a hit over there for some side.

Don't think JB would be talking down Brucey after the ball he got him out with last season. In fact he was talking him up after that.

Well done Rowey a deserving winner another great year for the big man. Also well done Josh Lourens, good to see a bowler up there amongst the votes and to Hoppy for finishing 3rd aswell.
North Haven had there AGM on saturday night before our Presentation evening, and Simon Thomas was elected president for the upcoming season, Bazza was elected V/Pres, and Lindsay Martin treasurer. We are still looking for a secretary though. Full clean out of the executive from last year. It was the first time in a long time that we had 2 people going for the presidents job. I was a bit sceptical about having the AGM before presos but it worked out pretty well. We had about 80 there on the night I would say.
