Then there's the population of Lonsdale ---- 7
This club is an amalgamation of Lonsdale and O'Suliivan Beach. There's a lot of houses down around Galloway Road when I last looked.

7 live in the suburb of Lonsdale is correct BTP......Straight from the 2006 census quick stats.
Galloway Road is not in Lonsdale, obviously.

2006 was 4 years ago, im sure some of those areas are alot more populated now!! Have a look at Aldinga for example. And Lonsdale football club position is actually pretty well populated being its located at the High School. Also the census is a load of Crap, many people dont even fill it in, so those numbers are just a guide at best. Wonder what the population of Old Noarlunga is??? Would say they that suburb would have the least population of any current team in the SFL.

I think from memory, Londale's home ground is actually located in Morphett Vale, with Lonsdale being the northern side of sherriffs road and west of the expressway/brodie road

I was assuming you were using the figure as an indication of how it affects the O'Sullivan Beach/Lonsdale Football Club.
My point was concerning relevance

Exactly Yetti, but every club is in the same situation!!! Hackam have Morphett Vale and Woodcroft on there doorstep. Alding have Seaford, Moana etc. Lonsdale have Sullies, Morrphett Vale, Reynella. Porties have access to Seaford and Meadows etc as well. Reynella have access to Woodcroft and Happy Valley and so on. Pretty much the populations of each area mean very little.

Rubbish. There is not magically the same number of eligible and capable adults and kids to play football surrounding each club.

In areas that have grown, clubs should be stronger (provided good management). There are probably even good cases for creating one or two more clubs down south (Woodcroft comes to mind). In areas where the children and young adult populations have descreased, clubs will eventually have to merge.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

As someone who has played in the SAWFL, I would say that there are definitely a few women out there who could match it with the blokes (not me). But only a few. A team in the SAWFL wouldn't come close to knocking off Hackham or Aldinga.

Deep Heat to stand Golding on saturday.
Moe's money on DH to keep the big man to 3 & Morphies in an upset by 8 points.

Morphett Vale don't get higher skilled/fitter players coming to our club. Every player in our
A grade is on 1 point. Whilst every one is showing of there new recruits we blooded 3 in a grade
one of them still u18 and 4 in B grade 2 still u 18s. 100% home grown talent.
Thats what grassroots football is about.
If any higher skilled/fitter players wamt to play at Morphett Vale you are welcome.

I believe Div1 and Div2 is the only option. Hackham maybe improving. However if we were in Div2 I believe we would be improving quicker, as we would be getting more competitive games most weeks.
I honestly don't believe we would loose players or juniors. Players play at our club as they want to be there. If they didn't want to be there they wouldn't go running out against teams like Morphett Vale.
From my opinion I could only see it helping our club.
However there defiantly needs to be a relegation system in place. The easiest way would be to have the premiers go up and the last placed team go down.
The main issue I see with two divs is the juniors. The only way I can see getting around this is by only separating the seniors into two divs at this stage.

What to do with the juniors will be the biggest head ache.
Unfortuately the juniors are just as much a mismatch as seniors. Sunday 14s and 16s can play
in divison 2. Div 2 18s might have to play div 1.

Never once heard a recruit (there have been many) ask which division we play in, just what team. That's similar to saying scrap B grade because everyone wants to play A grade.
