Lions over Centrals by 9 goals today in Port Pirie, Central were in front by 8 points early in the third quarter. Lions' young legs far too good from there.
In Port Augusta, South had a 20 goal victory over Ports.

If this adage is true you blokes must have had plenty of mates in the 30 years prior!
Don't be hating because you don't understand the word 'adage' CD

Diddy I see Centrals had both Jamie Jackson and Shane Curnow playing in the B grade - feel sorry for the poor bugger(s) who had to jump against those two all day!! A strong win by your men in both grades. I've heard there is a bit of discontent amongst the Centrals senior players at the moment that is making itself evident in their lack of form so far, has anybody else heard the same?

I thought Cella Dwellas comment was quite witty number 36 and demonstrated a precise understanding of 'adage", but eye never dun gould at Inglish so I cood bee rong!
Regarding Centrals Number 36 I found this quote earlier in the forum about their pick ups prior to the season;
"....picked up Shillabeer from South, Skipworth (who left South to get away from Shillabeer) ,Ruffles (Who shafted South by signing, not playing or even watching them after shafting Centrals to go to them in the first place). and Gerard Kenny (Knobhead from West)."
Seems like they are a club that picks up anyone with disregard for team harmony. Am I right? Wasn't there a post back a bit on one of these forums about them treating one of their stalwarts pretty poorly also? My nephew will be working up there soon and was told by a mate to go to centrals but maybe that will be a bad idea??

Re: Spencer Gulf League
Curnow and Jackson would have been amongst Centrals best players in the B grade on Sat, but weren't as dominant as they perhaps could have been.

Haha yeah it was a fair comeback by Cella - had me stumped out of my crease for sure.
I have always liked South on and off the field. They seem to be the better and more loyal bunch of blokes up there and really focus on promoting their own for the future rather than trying to buy a premier$hip every year.

Funny about that everything appears to be fine outside looking in at souths but did Anno resigned as A grade coach or is he still coaching or who replaced him

Far as I know from my source is that he resigned and Mctaggot took over coaching against west game and south was trying to get him to reverse his decission to come back to coach. This was a week or two ago so alot could happen since.

Re: Spencer Gulf League
Found out more about anno and that he is still coaching, but he did resigned. Then the club went and chased him back after forcing him to quit. This incident was about he couldn't coach one week due to family commitments and the club said it wasn't good enough saying his coaching commitments comes first before his family commitments.

Re: Spencer Gulf League
Saw in the Sunday Mail the other week that Lions knocked off Ports then beat Sollies as well.
Has Lions ever been the dominant team in Pirie? I was around Pirie in the 90's and it was the Ports/Sollies show then with the newly formed Lions a long way off the mark.

Don't reckon they have ever been at the top of the tree in Pirie. Good luck to them I suppose, they have done it the hard way and look like they could have a strong era ahead of them. Souths are their only rivals at this stage. I have been impressed (and surprised) with Souths form this year. They recruited well and the players they have lost haven't made an ounce of difference either. These 2 will be in the GF I reckon. Final in Pirie this year too so will be interesting if it goes that way.
A big hello to my Ports adversaries out there - Have been a bit light on with your posts boys but so have I. Just trying to show some humility in Sollies resurgence!
...and Centrals still reckon they can beat our boys for that spot in the finals. Mmmmm 0-6, you'd want to get your skates on. You boys are battling with Ports to avoid the wooden spoon, Id just focus on that perhaps. Maybe you could still make the record books by doing the "reverse Kerley" and going from top to bottom in 1 year.
Your season so far is testimony to why none of the other teams respect your club or rate your premiership last year. I have heard your club people bag our club in the past but your club culture is sh*t and when things the chips are down you don't have enough blokes that play for the club instead of the dollar!
