yeah right.. bad luck to him if true - he has been a great player over the years!

but where does that leave MV for 2010!!???

Unfortunate if true.

With Bode & Beeching also in the 1's i dont think Ruck is the premier concern for the emus tho.

Meeting with surgeon tomorrow, not looking good. Agreed Swooper, talls have depth, getting a fit and firing midfield is first and foremost.

It wasn't just shortys ruck work. He slots in for a few to tall for the backs goals and his leadership around the ground will be like James hird retiring from the bombers. He was like their general in the games I have seen and played. Good luck shorty well wishes for a fast recovery

P32 I hope your captain's shoulder is ok from when it smashed into the head of one of the smallest Lions players at pace, off the ball while he wasn't looking. Hope He's OK, seems like a good bloke. It was great playing the last quarter with 17 players because of it. Hope he gets up for next week.[/quote]

Courtney Fish - not sure who you think our Captain is. As Panther said it would be uncharacteristic of him and he is honest enough to own up if he did do it. Trust me he remembers every stat and incident that occurs to him during a game, good and bad (not just left foot goals and look away handballs). He has zero idea of what you claiming, so either get the right guy or get the story straight.

If the incident was infact 'off the ball' I'm assuming your short guy was standing upright. For 'the captain' to run in at pace and make shoulder connection with his head, your bloke must be a lot shorter than me and I'm only 5"7. Note when a guy bumps he also needs to lower his body to create enough force ("smashed") to take someone out for a whole quarter. Next time, leave your sarcasim elsewhere and tell us what is actually the problem. What happened to your other three blokes in the first three quarters? I hope they are OK and they werent victim of a mysterious hit off the ball too...

PS. Dont bother replying coz I wont. I'm simply sticking up for a good bloke who has been wrongly accussed!

Winners for this week.

Brighton V M/Vale The changing of the guard.

C/Beach V Marion Will be close but Marion just keep disappointing

Cove V Townies Another close one but Cove on their deck

Flaggies V Noarlunga Shoes

Hackham V Aldinga Some would say game of the day and some would say it wouldnt be out of place in the special Olympics.

H/Valley V Pt Noarlunga Valleys on fire and will continue.

Lonsdale V M/Park Lonsdale for me against a side tearing themselves apart.

My selections for Saturday-

Brighton V M/Vale -- too many outs for Morphies to survive this.

C/Beach V Marion ------ I agree with Shoe Boy with one exception --- it won't even be close

Cove V Townies ----- Townies still have that winning culture, but they don't have the cattle to win this one

Flaggies V Noarlunga ------ Baggy's tip for upset of the round. Flaggies getting very close and I reckon they are ready to snag one

Hackham V Aldinga ----- will be like a Grand Final

H/Valley V Pt Noarlunga ------- will go close to Flag

Lions v. Morph Park ----- Parks too disappointing

Oi!

My tips for this week:

Brighton V M/Vale - Can't remember the last time the Emus lost two on the trot.
C/Beach V Marion - It's going to be ugly but Christies to come out on top by 5 goals.
Cove V Townies - Cove will annihilate them
Flaggies V Noarlunga - Noarlunga looked menacing last week, can't see them losing this one even with an improved Flaggies
Hackham V Aldinga - Sharks by 13 goals. I'll be taking advantage of those $4 beers too. :D
H/Valley V Pt Noarlunga - Valley by 15 goals
Lions v. Morph Park - Close game, Lonsdale will get on top in the final quarter.
Hey Goose, ya big stud! Take me to bed or lose me for ever.

Definately not tearing ourselves apart. Just need to find that bit of confidence to win when things turn awry. Oyr boys are not taking the easy way out, numbers are good on the track & importantly, noone is leaving the club looking for a game elsewhere.
I am one of our biggest critics, yet i am exceptionally happy the way our players are taking ownership for their fadeouts. We have shown both ends of the stick in our games. We can be very good, or woeful.
as for last weeks ïncident" before half time, i can say from both the eyes of MPFC supporters & neutral fans Number 7 is a filthy mongrel. Nothing more nothing less & he will find out that Karma is a bitch.
To the knuckle head who suggests people would not enter our club because it looks on the outside like Hungry Jacks, well you had better get used to it, because me thinks you might end up spending alot of time in one. Maybe after a few years you can work your way up from fries to the front counter!

A very unique club you have moe off field with no entry fee ALL supporters should buy from the canteen or visit your bar and for those that havent been inside the club do yourself a favour go in and buy a frothy have a look around the walls some great names there
On field big pete must be pulling his grey hair out to kick 7 & 8 goals in the opening term and still loose would be frustrating but at least there is something to work with and when it clicks put 2 to 3 quarters together and you will see finals action ;)
