The only time he may have hit someone was if that someone had belted a Jolly or a Tucker first. Fairs fair. He didn't go around and snipe for the hell of it. The Bombers were branded soft pretty boys for our first few years in the SFL and copped heaps without having the cattle to dish it back. Guys like the Drapers and the Betterman twins helped us earn a bit of respect and we've never been labelled soft since.

To quote your words
Good to see people are starting wake up to some of the thugs in this comp who get put on a pedestal by their club as being a stalwart and a good hard "fair" player, when really they are just snipers, who get a blind eye from the umpires or if reported their club sends the infantry down to the tribunal and paint the bloke as an angel.

I remember a report in the messanger about a 16 year kids father getting "quite upset" after his son was king hit at the bottom of a pack. Which club stalwart and good hard "fair" player was that?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

If you waited to get your facts straight you would know that it wasn't a king hit it was a gurnsey punch then the group went to ground where number 23 coped a knee that split him open, the melle was then broken up by number 7 yelling stop he's hurt.

If the playing group were all so dirty on him how come they said they new it wasn't number 7 that split number 23 and no retaliation was sort, plus players where seen having a beer in the club with porties number 7 after the game.

And on porties not having a beer in the club after, i was at a table of porties boys and the Morphie president bought us 2 jugs and said if my players wont come back i'll drink with you guys.

Do you pick and choose what you see Moe....

Check my post Panther, never said it was a king hit or behind the play. A jumper punch does not cause external & internal stitches.
Never mentioned about your players not going into the club, just defended the childish post about our exterior.
As for not getting even with "No.7" & we all know it was him, check out Dundee 12's post on the fact we dont have the senior bodies to stand up to guys that size. May sound weak, but it has some merit.
As for having a beer with the villian after the game, well i suppose what happens on the field, stays on the field still stands nowadays.
So no, i do not pick and choose what i see!

Oi!

My tips for this week:

Brighton V M/Vale - Can't remember the last time the Emus lost two on the trot.
C/Beach V Marion - It's going to be ugly but Christies to come out on top by 5 goals.
Cove V Townies - Cove will annihilate them (your a wanker - you obviously forget cove were beating by 15 goals last time we met)
Flaggies V Noarlunga - Noarlunga looked menacing last week, can't see them losing this one even with an improved Flaggies
Hackham V Aldinga - Sharks by 13 goals. I'll be taking advantage of those $4 beers too. :D
My tips

H/Valley V Pt Noarlunga - Valley to win easily
Lions v. Morph Park - Lonsdale will win this game.
Brighton V M/Vale - bombers will be too good for the emu's.
C/Beach V Marion - beachies on there home deck, will keep marion winless.
Cove V Townies - will be a very close game - with townies coming out on top...
Flaggies V Noarlunga - Noarlunga will win this by 4 goals
Hackham V Aldinga - after hackham smacking aldinga - dinga's will realise they should of folded...

A 'fair' bump would not have resulted in the lions player being knocked unconscious nor would the quality umpires that were there (tongue in cheek) have awarded a free kick to the Lions player. The Reynella player had eyes only for the player and should have at the minimum have been sent off the park. At the time, Reynella were 20 goals up and had no need for any such lowly attack on a player off the ball. The lions would have been within their rights to submit a club report on the incident.

No you are right, I for one have never seen a fair bump knock someone out!
The ball was definitely within the vicinity because by the time I turned to the play both the umpire and the ball were there. No one remonstrated with the Reynella player, so obviously they didn't think it was that bad, just the loud mouth supporters on the sideline yelling abuse and yourself. Maybe we should just make it illegal to bump players?? Oh hang, in kids footy that's all you can do and they can handle it...
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!

Re the Cove/Townies game, each to their own opinion. I'll let the results speak for themselves.

My two cents

Brighton V M/Vale - Brighton by 2 goals in a close one at home, interested to see where Brighton are at in 2010
C/Beach V Marion - Marion...
Cove V Townies - Cove by 10 goals & are in very good form, too many talls Ramsey, Weederman, Roo, Sticks & curly head guy in backline
Flaggies V Noarlunga - Yet to see Flaggys, but Noarlunga bodies may be too big and strong for young side. Won't stop Golding.
Hackham V Aldinga - Hackham by 4 goals due to a bit better pre-season and home ground $4 beer advantage
H/Valley V Pt Noarlunga - Happy Valley by 12 goals, form team of comp, my fav for flag, must man up defensive side of stoppages
Lions v. Morph Park - Morphy Parks 5 goals due to speed around ground, but need to get on top early for confidence

Asert no need for that...

Hoping to be back in the ones this week shoe boy I've had alot of work committments and my wife had a baby so I missed the trials and first few games from being away and have played bs last few as I haven't been able to train but back to full steam ahead now. Yeah the team and enthusiasm is up and playing well John has got the boys playing good footy we just haven't managed to get over the line but I hear the score line wasn't reflective of the game in the first 2 rounds ( this from the opposition I've spoken to) and then last 2 weeks have gone down by under 2 goals to two good teams. I think it is just going to take that one good scalp to get the ball rolling. This week hopefully it's going to be a cracker of a game. Wasn't able to coach a sun team this year and John wants our a grade to focus on a grade on sat so have had to hang up the board for a little while and go back to it down the track

Haven't been on for ages but I see the Forum is still dominated by the Spu Boy who ridicules both Aldinga and Hackham. Wasn't so long ago your club raped and pillaged Hackham..Tassone, Lee, Sincocks etc. When was your last home grown champion? Been a fair while..Booga, before that Pencil and Charlie. Your club are the hyienas of the league!
Hope people don't fprget the dark days of Morphett Vale and their climb back. Reckon Marty Clifton and the Hackham lads are having a go and they will be back..just hope once they re establish themselves the money littered clubs don't try their old tricks.

Booga and Charlie both originated from Lonsdale, or (as they were known in those days) the Mawson Bears.
I've always thought it sad that the "Lonsdale Lions" merger kept the name "Lonsdale" alive, but the old "Mawson Bears" identity is now fully gone.

The post before asked for a Home Grown "Champion" not a list of guys that are playing A Grade! Big difference between to the 2.

The last Home Grown Champion of NFC would be Jason Peach and before that Barry Pilmore or Steve Caryle (not his son).

Jacob Selfe has been a great player in other leagues but is probably abit early to see his impact in this league to call hima a champion

Definately not tearing ourselves apart. Just need to find that bit of confidence to win when things turn awry. Oyr boys are not taking the easy way out, numbers are good on the track & importantly, noone is leaving the club looking for a game elsewhere.
I am one of our biggest critics, yet i am exceptionally happy the way our players are taking ownership for their fadeouts. We have shown both ends of the stick in our games. We can be very good, or woeful.
as for last weeks ïncident" before half time, i can say from both the eyes of MPFC supporters & neutral fans Number 7 is a filthy mongrel. Nothing more nothing less & he will find out that Karma is a bitch.
To the knuckle head who suggests people would not enter our club because it looks on the outside like Hungry Jacks, well you had better get used to it, because me thinks you might end up spending alot of time in one. Maybe after a few years you can work your way up from fries to the front counter!
