If a player has come from that SANFL club and they want to ensure they cannot be poached by other SANFL clubs then they give yearly permits to clubs that the player chooses to play for. I would think this is the case with Troy as he has played for Port.

If we were in the AFL, United's club president would be holding a press conference this afternoon telling us that the coach has the full, unqualified support of the board... It must be getting close to that?![]()
Maybe that press conference will wait until after next week's game v Roosters. The spot might be booked for whoever loses that one.
I don't think its the coach maybe the players need to have a good hard look at themselves and start plying for the club and not themselves

I would assume you're putting Burgoyne in that catagory but its hard to blame him for poor form as he seems to be contributing. I haven't seen too many Tiger games but the names each week in the Barracker seem to be pretty much the same blokes as recent years?

Peter should be playing in the midfield and taking games apart and still kicking 4 or more goals instead he doesn't leave any further than 25 meters from goal . he took a mark around half forward on saturday and went off for the blood rule. Not winning them games at the moment so I would say not worth the money

Doesn't matter who stood him. 7 he kicked. 4 in the first quarter and then only 3 the rest of the game. We put an injured player on him cause we new that he wasn't going to go far.

Terrible call Norm, anyone who's kicked 7 of 14 and by all accounts gave off a few, and a couple more that MC may have dropped, is doing his job at full forward. if peter was still up to running around in the midfield he'd be playing afl, doesnt matter what level your playing at, your still doing the same km's and obviously the body isnt up to it.
Who stood him?
I'm sure you think you could transfer what you do in the APFL to the AFL Ace of, but seriously!!!! You've surely seen Gilly play in the middle for our B Grade!!! Thanks for brightening up my day!

Hard to say "not worth the money" unless you know how much he is getting. Easy to speculate but i have heard that it is around $500 per game. Turned down bigger offers from other clubs to avoid too much expectation & came to United cos of his Dubby pub mate. Maybe you're being harsh?

Exactly pea brain, I may have had a couple beers by then but re reading the post i think its pretty clear I was saying he cant run the kms required to play full time midfield, hence why he doesnt move far from the forward line.....
Sorry Jack, missed where the conversation switched to the elite midfielders of the bottom B Grade team
