I was handing out how to vote cards (Liberal Movement - WHO??) at the 74 general election and the John Coumbe was handing out Liberal ones. Along with the Labor guy - who was also a North man - we spent the entire time talking football.

I remember the Liberal Movement LL and was sympathetic to them then.
I only went to the Liberal Party when the Democrats moved left of Labor.

Yes, former cheer squad member and so the fable goes that a certain male North Cheer Squad / Grog Squad legend had sex with her it is rumoured that's what made her change "persuasions"! LOL

Is anyone going to put their hand up about this or do we have to start guessing?

Surprised Bayman didn't mention John Hawkes a longtime supporter for the bays and son of former player Ray
Oncer in teh seat of Kingston - Susan Jeanes - is a bays fan.

AH 1974 was a Federal election year, 1975 was the State Election year IIRC
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

That's funny I have always heard David Hayes say that he played for Central but like his late father and brother he was a Port supporter.

LOL "down South" back then (1880s-90s) was the South Parklands, not that there is anything wrong with that...

I think Charles Kingston, given the fascinating story behind him, is the greatest 'celebrity' supporter!
