Didn't the Christies players leave rather than poached
i think you will find that is correct asert

The juniors that have left are because of lions not having a junior team
LIONS FIELD U8,10,12,14
The senior players that they have cleared to us only harris is still playing at the club and he left them last year but they didnt clear him, then he did his knee in a trial Harris was cleared as soon as his guernsey was returned
The other thing about us holding players, 1st of all we cleared Gary to losdale after a season of senior footy so the kid didnt sit out of football.Gary Karpany is a junior of OSB/Lons before PNFC so you had no grounds.
Josh Newham cleared to reynella with in a week.
A club gains nothing but bad blood by holding players. Will Gary ever go back to lonsdale? dont think so. already iam hearing from people why would you go to lonsdale. you have to be there for a minnimum 3 years or sit out footy.Practice what you preach Panther $$ had to exchange hands for us to secure Baxter's clearance. We are not talking about an average player here we are talking about an absolute star who kicked 49 goals for us last year. We had a contract he decided the grass was greener elsewhere at very late notice giving us no time to find a replacement.
If i quit my job at work i have to give 2 weeks notice yet if i want to leave my local amateur footbal club i have to stay there for 3 years.. come on lets be realistic. I couldnt agree with you more i hate the way local footy is going but unfortunately $$$$$$ are ruining the game at grassroots level. Clubs have to protect themselves from circling vultures.

The juniors that went to port noarlunga were under 14s and we do have under 14s this season, gary would be cleared to any club outside the league in a heartbeat and one of the other players that was cleared was gary's brother tyson.

You cant blame porties if these guys walk in and want to play there your club would do thge same thing if players left another club and came to your clubs .

Porties have had a couple of OSB/Lons Juniors come across ONLY because OSB/Lons do not have U16's..
What/Where would you like these juniors to play?
If....If ....Gary was to go back to OSB?Lons (Won't Happen) Do you really expect him to play to his normally high standards for a club he no longer wants to be at?
Give the lad a clearance so he can play footy for the club he wants to play for. !!

Yes, but they still would have gone to the highest bidder and a club down the road with a bucket full of GF cash accommodated them.
