DTH bit harsh.

We all have injuries

Leave us out of the mind games

Cove do not rate themselves only that you guys have chip on tne shoulder I think

Cove have played 5 games you can only play who you are programmed against.
I'm sure the other clubs would be offended by the comment "Cove Have played nobody"

Aldinga have had a win and a good win
Flaggies have had a couple including the big scalp of the Foriegn Legion (Noarlunga) maybe should have won some more but are young and devloping. Rate them going forward as a big danger team to the so called super clubs
Edwardstown have won 4 bit like Flaggies
Marion are getting close
Morphy Park give a good contest not far away

Fell free to let us know about each of BDOS wins

Maybe when the so called 'Premier League' gets underway if Cove are luckier enough to be in it we will play somebody like BDOS

Thanks vics01 - I was a bit bewildered at the lack of respect shown there.

Flaggies had 5 A Graders out this week injured, after our close loss to Townies last week ... but whatever, it happens in footy. You just have to go onto the park with who is available.
It just made our win yesterday all that better, knowing we have depth that hasn't always been there in recent years.

Down the hill-this is only my opinion,to me Brighton looked no better yesterday than in previous seasons.Brighton still rely heavily on there midfieild,to me if you can go close to just break even with brightons midfield, and you have other quality around the ground,Brighton will struggle.Brighton play such high intensity football through there on ballers I just don't believe they can sustain such pressure through 25 weeks of football.

C/Beach V Marion ------ I agree with Shoe Boy with one exception --- it won't even be close

Cove V Townies ----- Townies still have that winning culture, but they don't have the cattle to win this one

Flaggies V Noarlunga ------ Baggy's tip for upset of the round. Flaggies getting very close and I reckon they are ready to snag one

Hackham V Aldinga ----- will be like a Grand Final

H/Valley V Pt Noarlunga ------- will go close to Flag

Lions v. Morph Park ----- Parks too disappointing

Not bad BTP - Valleys were the only ones to let you down.
I thought I'd done pretty well, but you've pipped me with your Lions tip :)

Spot on Esteban.

The lads who left Christies wouldn't have left other than for a late night incident which was regrettable at the time but possibly made their return to the club a little difficult.

Not intended to denegrate any club more a reference to the fact that this years clear top 5 is looking like MV, Rey, Brighton, HV and Cove and that Cove is the only club in that group who hasn't played anyone else. No excuses for injuries either, just reminding the Emu faithful that every club has them and we can all get a bit bias as to who's are more important than the next clubs. No chips at Bomberland Vics 01, just going about our business and staying out of trouble on and off the field.

and the Saints have never been the same since. Something went dreadfully wrong that night.
Christies were always one of the major forces for years (their strength at the time remind me a little of the way Brighton are now). Won Flag in A's, B's, C's and Under-16's in '94. Then there was a mass exodus after that night and Christies went right down the ladder in '95 and have never recovered.
It's one of the tragedies of SFL history, but no-one can blame Port for what they picked up out of it. It's called being in the right place at the right time.

I'll leave it alone now Shoey.
Concentrate on Flaggys this week who seem to be in best form they've been in for years.
Brighton beating MV without Rivers is pretty good.
Did Beeching play?
Who played on him?

Beeching was very good at CHF particularly early. He took some great marks including a screamer in the first qtr. We started a young lad Luke Genikas on him who we are hoping will become a player similar to former MV skipper Gaskin. Luke had his hands full but had some nice touches until going off with an ankle. I think I previously said first qtr but it was very early in the 2nd. This forced Nathan Twomey to go to CHB from CHF (my reference to upsetting our structure) and Twoms played a great game and did some great defensive work in the last qtr when the game was on the line. Having said that Beeching was still given 3rd best by MV which was fair enough but Twomey was also high in our best. Jora, Pollard and Beech gave good marking targets all day but this is where we could have matched up better with Statham and Rivers if not injured. Sneezer rotated his midfield in the last qtr with Johnstone, Bradley and Norsworthy all having short spells on the bench and each had big impacts at the clearances when they re-entered the action. MV no doubt missed Bayly and Bennetts in their midfield which would have hurt them but I was very impressed with Stuart Sampson and a couple of younger blokes who came off the bench, No. 24 being one of them. The MV mob were reminding us after the game that its not September yet but any club will take a win against MV anytime. Its only our 2nd win vs Emus in our last 11 attempts so who cares if its only May.

An easy comeback for that one ---- if they don't hurry up and start winning soon they won't be there :D
