nah mate, that just woulda been weird!

a story i though was a bit funny though.....

while in USA a couple months ago, i bought a Lakers cap for my Kobe, he's 3, and at the hat shop, we could get names embroided on the caps. So i said i wanted KOBE, but the dudes looked at each other, then turned back to me and said "Sorry man, we can't do that because of copyright reasons and whatnot". and i was like, "But it's my son's name!" and pulled my sleeve up to show them KOBE tattooed on my wrist. So they looked at each other again, shrugged their shoulders and said to me, "Theres only two reasons that dudes would have Kobe tattooed on their wrist, and that's if their son's name is Kobe, or you're a sick and twisted mother ****, and you seem alright, so we'll do it!"

But yeah, as soon as we found out he was a boy when she was pregnant, I said "It's either Kobe or Earvin. I don't care which, you can choose, but those are your only options"

Maybe Kareem could have been an option too

Does Kobe Bryant know about this obsession? ;) That is a funny story and clearly you're a diehard Lakers fan threatening to name your boy after Magic Johnson but perhaps George as in George Mikan might have sufficed? Or even James for James Worthy? Being a Kobe fan I'm assuming Shaquille wasn't an option!

Celtics Blow out Magic 94 to 71 at the T.D. Banknorth Garden looks like the Celtics will win with a clean sweep.

Will sign with Knicks IMHO as they've been playing future contracts/signing players with contracts finishing at the end of the season in anticipation of having a chance for possibly the most anticipated signing since Shaquille O'Neal crossed from the Magic to the Lakers in 1996.
Their back up plan was to try for Dwyane Wade if Lebron doesn't come off.

Knicks will win at least 50 games if he suits next year no matter how poor the rest of their roster is.

Almost beyond belief given their situation from middle of season onwards.
Rajon Rondo is really stepping up again in playoffs. He'd be in the top 5 players in the game if he could hit the side of a barn with his jumper.

The Dallas Mavericks are expecting star forward Dirk Nowitzki to opt out of his contract late next month and become an unrestricted free agent July 1, sources close to the situation told ESPN.com.

The Mavericks, though, continue to negotiate with Nowitzki on an extension in hopes of convincing him to preempt his free agency. They remain confident the leading scorer in franchise history will stay with the only NBA team with which he's played, even if Nowitzki winds up joining the most anticipated free-agent class in league history.

Hard to win at Boston if
- your are down by 15, while scoring only 12 points in the first quarter
- your Superstar (Howard) had a point +/- of -29, and scores 7 points and has as many fouls and made field goals (3)
- your starting small forward is a disgrce and has double the number of turnovers (4) as made field goals (2)
- as a team you shoot 37% FG
- you, as a team have less assists (10) than one Boston player (Rondo 12)
- your team high scorer has 15, and you have only three players in double figures
- two of your starters (Lewis 4 and Nelson 4) have as many turnovers as the entire Boston team
