Was on the Adelaide Advertiser web page today and happened to see this headline...
"Ex-Port Adelaide AFL star Fabian Francis faces abuse charges"
See the full story...
http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/stor ... 01,00.html
Would Christies Beach Football club be regretting this appointment at all?
Or would they just brush it aside stating it has nothing to do with footy and is in the past?
Did they know about this at all?

As of today he is still their coach.
Just be very careful what you write about it cause if it could possibly bring up legal threats or shut this site down then it will be deleted and your account terminated.

Thanks

I am not a fan of Christies Bch, FRANCIS or Port Power but alot of other SFL coaches and players have had run ins with the law, the difference is their run ins done make the paper because they are not ex-AFL players . . . FRANCIS was appointed for his football brain and I am sure he will serve CBFC well.

The question that may need to be asked is, worse case scenario, what would happen if he was found guilty and had a jail sentence to serve? That would leave Christies in a very awkward position.

My mail says Christies had Francis in a special meeting with players (could have been as recent as last night) outlining that nothing has or is likely to change. The same mail (which came via an overheard conversation at Bice Oval this morning between significant Christies men) suggests they may have some quality pickups, including a full forward who could be capable of plugging the gap left by McKee.
Possibilty the Saints may emerge stronger than we have been expecting, but time will tell.
