For ever and a day the WACA was different to the SCG, the SCG different to Adelaide etc etc but you knew what you were getting.

When Warne was at his best did we create 5 dust bowls around the country? No.

When McGrath and Gillespie were at their peak did we create 5 seaming rippers? No.

It's insane to think we doctor pitches in the way India does.
My thoughts too

You know what you’re going to get in India as well.
Look at the pitches and grounds they dish up for IPL, totally different to the test match conditions

That’s coz IPL pitches only have to last 40 overs so its no comparison

Some of those Test pitches didn’t last 40 balls

Not looking forward to listening to Nasser Hussain commentating the Ashes if last night was his standard!

Much rather listen to Nasser then Langer and Hayden. Nasser at least doesn't dominate the mic and waffle on. Can't believe they think Langer on commentary is good.

In regards to pitches, I'm yet to see us water selected sections of a pitch to suit a certain bowlers to left handers.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Hayden is by far and away the worst. His ability to yell at every opportunity and call the game like every moment is an after the siren shot to win the Grand Final or a putt to win the Masters is infuriating.

You blokes worry too much about the little things in life.

Their commentary is nothing like a score review in the AFL...

Yes our pitches have always been like that, just like India's have always been spin friendly, just like England has always been seamer friendly. Thats what makes cricket great IMO, different conditions and challenges when playing away from home. Otherwise standardise every pitch with concrete and fake grass
The difference is that they didn't prepare a whole pitch, just the middle bit.
I'll accept that different clays and grasses serve up a different playing wicket, that's great.
But only rolling some of it is cheating. Plain and simple.
